If this team could move Brian Leetch, Any of these current players are on the table

These players need to get over themselves. Cry me a river with your millions of dollars.

How about you show up for the hard working fans that pay money to watch you guys.

These players sound so much more softer than I thought.
Or, crazy thought, management could put the slightest effort into faking the appearance of caring about them since that appears to be important to them? You know, just actually manage the people that you brought on instead of blaming them for being themselves?

Not sure either guy is a narcissist (not any more than your typical successful pro athlete), but it doesn't matter because no GM here is going to get full autonomy over Hockey operations. He will be beholden to a cranky dry drunk who's never heard the word 'no' in his life, and the top lawyer for the Knicks for the past 15 years.

The narcissist might be the guy who threatened to stop alcohol sales at pro games, who uses DOD facial recognition tech to bar 'internet trolls' from pro games, and the guy who got into a pissing match with the league over web design.

Why do you think we consistently get f**ked by the refs and by Toronto? It's not because our representative on the Board of Governors is a swell guy LOL

Chicago and LA were f***ing each other's wives and getting arrested for possession while they were dominating the league.
Chicago could have been the core of at least two contending teams when they were winning. Not sure the bring terrible people thing was really helping them as much as them having a truly ridiculous set of players

Not for nothing but from my experience those who preach tolerance are some of the least tolerant and most vitriolic people i have met.

So i have no doubt that the pr person was speakjng the truth.

However, that pr person should have kept their mouth shut as nothing good was coming from that situation.

And therein lies the difference between us fans and "clueless players". These guys are teammates. Family. They're with each other at least six months out of every year. Yes. They all understand the business aspect of the game. Doesn't mean they don't have feelings too. They don't have to like how their GM does business sometimes. We complain about Drury. We also give him credit. What makes us different? We have feelings just like the players do.
Why can't you guys be more of a close-knit team?!?!?!

Why can't you guys be professional?!?!

To quote Don Draper, "that's what the money is for". I dont see ticket or concession prices going down now that we're on year 30 of the Cup drought. They've let personal feelings get in the way of winning games.

The Rangers are in dire need of 8 more on the team . We have Schneider-Laf-Cuylle and not for long Smith and Carrick . That is 88 % of the heart and passion on our club in 4 -5 guys . Maybe we need a Canadian GM and coach while we are at it.....more Cdn. scouts needed and make sure the scouts are Canadian .

People in my company get promoted, demoted, transferred all the time

At the end of the day I get paid to do a job regardless of all that

Pay me half of what these players make and Ill go play hockey in the Yukon Territory with a smile on my face everyday


These players have it too good, go out there and play

Chicago was doing other stuff too, way worse than any of those things. 3 Cups in 5 years.

Mike Richards and Jarret Stoll were hitting the nose candy, and those were only the guys that got caught. 2 Cups in 3 years.

I'm sure Washington with Kuznetsov were in the same boat, still figured out how to win a cup.

We'll eventually get the stories from Tampa, Pitt, and all the other winning teams, although I'd assume it is less than those teams (but you never know). The reality is, this stuff happens on every team. It's really a league wide issue, maybe beyond that in the grand scheme of things.

You've got the best athletes in the world making millions of dollars. The staff is well compensated too. The people within MSG aren't making peanuts.

I get the feeling we have more guys that enjoy being a hockey player than playing hockey and that is an issue.

Keep the good takes coming. People are to in their feels over players who dont give a care about them. You know what fosters a good organizational culture? Winning games. There was no "culture" problem when we had our best season in franchise history last year, with the same roster, GM and coaching staff!

Yeah those arent good choices.

I actually think Vally could be a decent front office management. Not that i am advocating for it. But out of former players he seems like he could be successful.
Maybe a guy like Brad Richards could also be considered if he had interest . Richards has won at every level and is down to earth . He should be considered for president of hockey ops . Let him select a GM who selects a coach .

I'm very much in the camp of them being real humans and hockey is a job that they have and all that. That's why I don't tolerate personal abuse on here over losing a game.

That being said, this whole thing about losing friends in trades and what have you -- THAT HAPPENS TO REAL PEOPLE!!

My company laid off a good friend of mine recently for no reason. They thought they were making cuts, and then we overperformed, and actually ended up hiring a bunch of people. They laid her off anyway because "ah f*** it, we already decided." They uprooted somebody's life because they're f***ing idiots.

I still have to come here and perform. And you know what? I'll get over it. We can text.

Not being paid is a real issue. Not having your health expenses covered is a real issue. Abuse and bullying is a real issue. Your co-workers leaving is just work. All things end.

And you think you know what's happening with people you don't know, have never met, in an environment you've never been in. And if you want to know why the culture is so bad, look no further than the shit head GM.

The real world has always been different than the professional sports world. Fair or not. Athletes are just different. They're like the top 1% (maybe less) of what they do. That's life. They're also tremendously overpaid. $750m for a baseball player? Is this real life?
