A lot has to go right for the Oilers to make the playoffs. Minimal injuries, production beyond the 1st line, Talbot needs to bounce back in a big way. Even with all of that going right, to make it out of the Pacific they still have to be better than two of:
- San Jose - extremely doubtful
- Vegas - doubtful unless last season was a fluke
- Anaheim - possible, they're good but not unbeatable
- Los Angeles - bit of a wildcard, can never really tell how they're gonna perform year to year
- Calgary - seem like a good team on paper but thats been said a lot the past couple of years
2nd wildcard is also possible but it seems like the Central always has that on lock (that division is a bloodbath.)
With that being said its hard to count a team with Mcdavid out, 120-130 points isn't out of the question for him.
