People are denied the right to earn money based on some rule all the time. Try practicing medicine without a license and see how that goes.Im shocked at people who think its ok to deny people the right to earn money based on some rule

Thoughts on the NCAA then and their agreement with players? Banning them from the league if they ever play in a "professional" league ie a league in which the players get paid some form of money (CHL, SHL, Liiga, KHL, AHL, NHL). Its crazy how up in arms people get about the CHL but just gloss over the NCAA and their ridiculous restrictions. Making the players pay themselves if they want to attend NHL campIm shocked at people who think its ok to deny people the right to earn money based on some rule
I mean any of these 18 and over player who are supposedly "too good" for the CHL have almost assuredly signed a pro contract already.Im shocked at people who think its ok to deny people the right to earn money based on some rule
Too good for junior AND be productive in the AHL.Keeping the CHL as strong as possible benefits the NHL too since it's better for the development of every player in the league to keep the quality of competition as high as possible, including those who haven't even been draft-eligible yet. This could easily lead to more and more players ending up being too good for the league as it becomes weaker.
Anyway, you can probably count on 1 hand (and you wouldn't need every finger) the players that were truly "too good for junior" in the last decade.
Yeah and getting to play in the A instead of the Q definitely did wonders for his developmentToo good for junior AND be productive in the AHL.
We’ve seen some Europeans over the last few years have the option to go to the A vs be returned to the CHL. Zadina was a late birthday in 2018 draft. He didn’t return for his final chl year in 18-19. Went to the A instead.
35 points in 59 games in the A.
It's not a Hockey rule, it's an NCAA rule. People have mentioned their complaints with the NCAA in general for a long time.. do you pay attention to anything besides Hockey? It's been a hot topic in sports news. The state of California forced the issue with Name, Image and Likeness and now players are allowed to profit off their NIL and still maintain NCAA eligibility, which is one step away from pay-for-play.Thoughts on the NCAA then and their agreement with players? Yeah I know its been a topic of conversation. Just pointing it out because others might not know of this. I find often the people that complain about the CHL rule barely follow prospects and know about these random agreements because every league is different. It's not a Hockey rule, it's an NCAA rule.
