Well I wasn’t able to watch the game but that was a butt kicking…

I only saw the 2nd half. It wasn't even close. KDB looked like he was about to fall over from exhaustion and was walking around in the offensive half of the pitch for what seemed like an eternity and it didn't matter one bit. I'm not even sure RMD had a SOG in the 2nd half.

Well. Looks like a 5 year old made that in paint.

I'm wondering how many millions were stollen by FIFA and the 3 organizers.

I watched the first 60 minutes or so. City looked like they were playing Bournemouth or Southampton on a Wednesday afternoon. The only time Madrid threatened was a Toni Kroos missile from 25 yards out that nailed the crossbar. Otherwise Madrid couldn’t handle City’s pressing and they had difficulty stringing together passes. Not sure I ever saw Benzema or Vini touch the ball in the 18 yard box. A true wet fart noise performance from Madrid.

... wait, is this the 26th world cup or is it in 2026? Or both?

Holy shit that's bad advertising. Or is it good because now I don't know and want to know?

Luton Town takes down Coventry in penalties to secure promotion to the Premier League. Their stadium is too small for the PL so they have to do tens of millions of dollars in renovations before next season starts. Ethan Horvath was their starting keeper the whole season, hopefully he keeps his job next year.

Pretty cool story for Luton Town. They went from the National League to the Premier League in nine seasons. Almost guarantee that they’ll be mentioned as an example to follow in S2 of Welcome to Wrexham. They also have a player on the team who has been there since the National League days and now he’s going to play in the Premier League. That’s like a team going from the Southern Professional Hockey League to the NHL via the ECHL and AHL.

A lot of good players on that Leicester team to likely be picked up. It is shocking they are going down and I put that 100% on Rodgers. Many of his managerial decisions were baffling this season and it seemed like he didn’t care that they weren’t working.

Thought it at the time and think it even more so now: McKinnie leaving Juve to play for a floundering Leeds team was a bad decision. Maybe they stay up if Adams is healthy but the team was poorly constructed with a terrible back line and no attacking options outside of Rodrigo. Bamford was awful this season. Sucks.

Not making the same mistake as last year when I missed out on the away kit and it never went back in stock.

Pre-ordered a black goalie shirt and authentic home jersey.

Both looked pretty sweet today on the pitch.

Meh. Bitter rivals trolling each other seems fine. Giving Leeds some stick for being relegated doesn't mean Chelsea have to be perfect or top of the table. At least they're still in the EPL and that's clearly the point.

Don't want to get your face rubbed in shit? Don't play like shit.

Yeah I watched them a reasonable amount this year and I honestly thought coming from being a squad player at Juve to likely a regular at Leeds that McKennie would be a difference maker for them. But he wasn’t at all. He looked slow and never seemed to come to grips with the pace of the EPL. IMO his poor play overall is one of the reasons they are going down. Adams is a way better player and I would not have said that 6 months ago.

Only 2 years seems very odd to me. At least 3 seems to be usual standard.

McKinnie gets his fair share of the blame but I’m not putting too much of on him. Leeds was badly mismanaged the summer leading into the season, they panicked and fired Marsch too early, his replacement was terrible, and none of the players looked good after the January transfer window. I’m not sure their record signing at striker even scored a goal for them this year. They definitely failed to adequately replenish with the funds they received for Raphinha and Phillips and aside from that terrible win over Chelsea, they always seemed to be playing a step or two behind.

Nearly every time I've watched him I've not been very impressed. Overrated imo
