AR deserved it for sure. Now they have to have a bit better odds in semis. But 0:0 tactics from Croatia is working too...

Actually Messi doesnt look like too old and useless. Thats great... but FR should be still favorite.

I wasn’t referring to the Covid angle but more so that you have a journalist who made a big stink about and live-streamed himself being detained for wearing a rainbow heart t-shirt and armband and who wrote posts frequently criticizing Qatar for human rights abuses, who is a fitness fanatic and regularly posts stuff on social media showing some pretty intense rowing workouts, just collapsing while sitting in the press box. It feels pretty suspect. He posted this to twitter the day he died.

 
The passing of Grant Wahl really hurts. I was a huge fan for many years and heard him on many podcasts.

Seems unlikely but should be investigated.
 
Lol….Pepe saying Messi’s comments screwed up the refereeing today, that they “couldn’t play (in the 2nd 1/2), he kept stopping play”…..
 
Wow there is going to be a lot of second guessing in Portugal about refusing to start Ronaldo as a starter again.

But grats to Morocco.What an unbelievable story.

1st game from England that I watched this time. Lots of good things they did, solid work. Liked much better than in Euro.

But... they didnt generate much besides penalties. And failed to score 2nd time.

France - they were slightly better BUT generated two quality goals. They had more oomph in the end I think and had good odds to win in overtime potentially. Deserved win.

Referee - weak. Send him home.

Entertaining match all around. It could easily turn out that nobody will press France as much the rest of the tournament. As I said earlier EN were unfortunate to draw FR in their bracket. Although f*** em, go home! :P

Btw, Morocco generated quality goal and won too. They will be flying next game most probably... but are short of power. FR should prevail.
 
England planned their game around Mbappé, but they had nothing planned for the other weapons on the French side.

Key difference is that the French players don’t miss their opportunities. Two assists from Griezmann today, most underrated player on this French side.
