Hey fellas how is Bear doing for you guys???... I watched him alot thru his junior days in Seattle and during his few years before that... thought he would have a good NHL career but just didn't look himself in EDM... when I saw he was dealt to u guys, I was estatic and figured he would excel... how's he been doing??!!
He's been really solid defensively after getting used to the system. Very solid two way guy even if he's not putting up ridiculous point totals. Solid in transition and he has some sneaky good offensive tools. I'd like to see him get some reps running PP2.

He fits seamlessly into the team so far. Slavin is used to playing with offensive guy but Bear seems to actually bring out more of an offensive flare with Slavin.

Prayers for a quick recovery for Nino!!

And noob question:

-I'm curious to hear some of your opinions on the "solution" to the egregious number of penalties we're getting called against us--and if there is one. I'm assuming RBA's love affair with the officials and our own undisciplined play are big parts of it. But, something's gotta give!

I think some of the penalty disparity is due to Rod’s very vocal complaints about them. He seems to complain more to the refs than most coaches. I think if he could just bite his tongue more, that the calls would be more even.

I don't beleive that for a minute.

Why should we bow before them? I think more of them need the Peel treatment, frankly.

I think most of our penalty troubles just come from our style of play. It's a byproduct of hounding guys up and down the ice all the time.

As for the Nino injury, it'll be good to see what Jarvis has, and if he can't stick around, we have depth to get around it. Also, I've said before, but I don't trust Brindy much with injury updates. Whatever vague terms he uses often don't paint an accurate picture. He's said a guy would be out a while for them only to miss a few games before.

According to the graphic that they just showed, DeAgnelo's Gordie Howe was the first for the Canes since B. Sutter did it in 2012.

My next question: is that Brandon, Brett, or Brody? I'm sure it's probably Brandon, but just listing it as B. Sutter does nothing to narrow it down.
I remember this. It was Brandon.

Had to google for confirmation:

Agreed. I hate the fact Nino may be out, but that is why we have depth. Time to use it.

Arizona is the perfect team for Jarvis’ debut. Go ahead and give him that NHL debut and send him down afterwards. However, it’d be pretty RBA thing to do to slot Brendan Smith on the 4th line and promote Martinook/Lorentz instead of giving Jarvis his debut. I don’t think Jarvis is around much longer regardless.

I’m more intrigued as to who’d they’d call up out of CJ Smith or Drury if Niederreiter is out a good while. I want to see Drury personally. Leivo and Noesen also might have a shot at a callup.

Edit - looks like neither Leivo or Bokk suited up for the Wolves tonight, wonder what’s up with that.

Rod seems to love Jarvis, I mean if he's not playing why would we have not sent him down already? He seems to be the 13th forward for a reason. If Nino is hurt I think Jarvis finally makes his debut. But I still really hope Nino is ok. He has been playing like he did when first traded here.
