I knew Svech was a man of class.

Twix it is.

This pains me to say but

I think if you're building a cup winner, Necas is more replaceable with guys like Jarvis and Drury than Tro is.

Necas is great but he may be the odd guy out

Eh, I still think it's Nino. Jarvis replaces Nino pretty neatly (and we'll probably see that with Nino's ankle), and with Nino gone we should have enough money to give Tro and Necas their raises. And this front office is trying to build a team that's sustainable over the long term, and it's really hard to not see Necas as a part of that.

Way too early to say this, we've still go 70+ games to go.

But yes, we're going to have to make some really tough decisions for the next several offseasons. That's just the way it is when you assemble a lot of talent in the cap world.

Getting a bit ahead of ourselves, but I think if it really comes down to it, it will be a question of who to keep-Trocheck or Necas. I don’t think they have the money for both, unless one of them takes a huge discount or has a reallllly bad season.

Don’t see it playing out any differently than Hamilton with Trocheck turning 29 in July. If they extend him, the price tag will be such that they won’t have to make a choice.

Am I crazy for thinking that if Nino is out, the right play is to have Svech next to Staal and Fast, and do what you need to do with the lines from there to incorporate Jarvis?

Typically the “3rd line” is where you want to put a new kid like Jarvis, but with how good and heavy that line has been playing I don’t think you want Jarvis there.

I think it’ll be Lorentz or Martinook there and Jarvis with Stepan and the leftover.

Prayers for a quick recovery for Nino!!

And noob question:

-I'm curious to hear some of your opinions on the "solution" to the egregious number of penalties we're getting called against us--and if there is one. I'm assuming RBA's love affair with the officials and our own undisciplined play are big parts of it. But, something's gotta give!
