Sounds like he'll be right at home in Montreal.Good thing MTL isn’t going to be in a playoff series anytime soon. Laine showing how fragile he is
What a joke of a franchise.

Insider Reveals How Blue Jackets Players Targeted Patrik Laine and Attempted to Injure Him
On BPM Sports earlier today, journalist Renaud Lavoie addressed the Patrik Laine situation.www.habsfanatics.com
If this is true the team should be fined or lose a few of points in the standings.
I know he spouted off but sometimes the truth hurts and is somewhere in the middle.

I am going on about the fact they allegedly targeted him , which is akin to putting a bounty on a players head. If the Habs took him out because of fear of injury then there is an issue that needs to be examined. Remember Bountygate?? I hope there is nothing close to that happening here. They did and they did it completely within the rules. Laine crumbled after a few good hits. Not a single hit they gave Laine were even remotely close to being a penalty let alone whatever you are going on about
You did not have to participate i nit. But thanks for letting me know that my simple question could be deemed pathetic. This is one of the most pathetic topics I've ever seen on HF.
Fai enough but remember bountygate? There is no evidence that this was like that but it is extremely rare to take a player out of a game to protect him.If you play professional hockey, you can be a target. No rules were broken, no players were suspended for anything dirty.
You don't take away "a few points in the standings" from another team because your feelings got hurt.
Great answer and appreciate the thought put into it. The y did nothing illegal based on the hits thrown but the concept of a whole team targeting one player is intriguing based on comments made by that player. It is usually only the 'enforcer or agitator' that would take on that role not the entire team.Yes, they clearly did target him for his comment. They also hit him, legally, within the rules of the game, so who cares. Hockey is a contact sport. I'd rather they do this than take illegal runs at him all game long.
Thanks for the video of all the hits. There was certainly a concerted effort to throw him of his game but nothing illegal. If the BJ's bought into the coaches game plan the way they bought into laying into Laine they may be in first place!Well yeah, they hit him every time they could.
Video with all the hits here.
I'm confused about why this is supposed to be a problem? Montreal fan not aware that hockey players can be targeted for hits? Has it been that long since you've seen the playoffs?
