True, but guys like him, Clarke, Foote, Grits, Thompson, Zettlund…can be some good trade chips or depth players. There’s no way we don’t have the best prospect pool come July 9th.

We'll be up there but I have a hard time seeing Buffalo not being #1. Power, Quinn, Krebs, JJ + 9 and 16

People shouldn’t rule out Wright not going first overall. If he doesn’t, and Slafkovsky does, the Devils might make things real interesting. Ultimately they’d probably take Wright though. They’d almost have to and then don’t have to keep worrying if Hughes can be a top C, letting him just settle in on the wing.

if that happens I make Arizona and Seatle bid for our pick. :thumbu:

lolololololollolololololollolololololollolololololollolololololollolololololol There are absolutely no worries. He's already an amazing center.

Slafkovsky would be a terrible pick. He is Kakko 2.0 – looks great on ice but can't produce.

Jiricek has good tape, shifty and dynamic with the puck but I question his judgement and overall IQ. He looks like a headless rooster on skates out there.

Nemec is the safer pick. Steady at home defenseman with plenty of offensive skills.
He is the only one of the three that is a consensus top 5 prospect and his IQ and understanding of the game seems superior to that of Jiricek.

I take Jiricek offensively and defensively over Nemec

This is stupid. Don’t even want to get into it again right now. Also, Kappo Kakko had great numbers.

I’m okay with the rest of it. I see that in Jiricek at times too.

Also, calling someone Kappo Kakko 2.0 isn’t as bad as some people think. He was a great prospect and has had a rough start but could still turn a very good NHL player.
