It's a stupid preseason game so it doesn't matter but the kids were great to watch. We were statistically dominated as a team, but the kid line had a CF% at 82%+, FF% at 77% and outshot Jersey 8-1 when they were on the ice. Picking up right where they left off in the playoffs when the coach split them up and benched Kakko. They are gonna force GG's hands for more playing time all year.

If Blias is not on the Zbad, or Panarin line, it's breaking up the kids line one way or another.
Now I could get behind that thinking should a kid move up to one of those lines, yet if it's Goodrow up (when healthy), Blais to the Kid line and one of the Kids to the 4th line, or scratched, then it stops making any sense.

Looks to me that unless we pick up a D on waivers Jones/Hajek will be our 6/7 d. The other 3 weren't helped out by the lethargic efforts of tonight's forward group to apply pressure in the offensive D. It can be argued OTOH that those 3 didn't win enough puck battles or keep enough plays alive in the offensive zone.
Mika's line was only okay. Chytil's line was easily our best tonight. I thought Edstrom had some nice moments but apart from that (and he's going back to Sweden) the other five (and him) are in danger of being cut either tonight or tomorrow. Just for not doing enough.

Correct, assuming you don't count Vesey as an AHL guy. Othmann and Schnieder have assists, but that's it
It didnt happen last year when he made the team. He was barely used when he had a clearly overwhelmed Nils.
I don't think the organization is as high on Hajek as some believe. I don't know why they're so afraid to lose him, but it is what it is.
Unless he goes to the 4th line which would be fine too.
Bigger issue is that one of Panarin or Laf needs to flip with Kreider though. I hated the idea of stacking a line with Zibanejad and Panarin but if the alternative is Kreider-Zib, I'll take my chances with going this route.

Or at least those players, yet I would be fine if they just kept the kids line as is, if they played them more.
Yup, I waived Carpenter, Hunt, Gauthier, maybe Hajek too if a waiver pick up is made, and I'm not worried about if they get plucked as it is low odds any of them would be, yet even if, that is not the end of the world.
Yeah honestly this looks good to me in paper but I think it’ll take a lot to break up Kreider and zibanejad
He is playing with less skilled players. He did drew a penalty so he was useful. if he gets another game he will be getter.

Realistically I do not expect that to happen either.

Laff-Chytil-Goodrow/Blais/Kakko
Hunt-Carpenter-Reaves/Kakko/Krav
More or less sort of a mess.
Rydahl sent down, and only Gauthier waived, or moved for basically future considerations
On D, I kind of expect them to start Hajek, add some other pickup or trade they can find, and then put Jones back and forth between the NHL/AHL depending on injury.
On 247 there used to be a guy that would use tu in place of to, too, or two as a bit. Jovo is way worse.
