It seemed unlikely 4.5-5 weeks ago that we'd have a chance to clinch a playoff spot in game 77 with nothing more than an OTL.

It felt like we'd at least be still fighting for one by game 80-81, like we did with the Panthers in 2018.

Hopefully we get it done tonight, just to get it done. And win 4 in a row for the first time this year.

the double beating of the Blue Jackets and the rangers game saturday showed this is one of the most resilient teams we’ve had in years. They know the talent isn’t exactly there, but everyone is stepping up. Nico, Jesper, Marky, even Timo who i genuinely thought was cooked.

i liked your post and agree. I would maybe modify the bolded to say "some key talent is missing". Cause we are still plenty talented.

To your point - it's good Timo is showing up. I was listening to NHL radio last week - and callers were saying who their core 4 were.

If you had asked me last year I would have had Timo in there. This year I came up with Nico, Bratt, Jack and Luke. Which was crazy to think.

But we are seeing real Timo again. And to be fair... he was never a Jarome Iginla level power forward. Maybe closer to a Shane Doan. And he is certainly valuable and brings an element we need.
