If they sweep the Canes I'll get a tattoo of Glass on my ass

Wtf happened? They were drunk?
Seemed to get down on themselves after going down 1-0. seemed to give up the rest of the period and Markstrom gave up a howler to put them down 2-0 with 39 seconds or something left in the 1st period after a marathon shift of being glued in our end.

And then it looks like they battled back in the 2nd to get it to 3-2 after a leaky Markstrom goal against put them up 3-0, only for Markstrom to allow yet another bad one on a really soft deflection once again the final minute of the period. I didn’t watch the 2nd, just the 1st and 3rd.

Team completely no-showed the 3rd period.

That felt like one of the more solid overall games Casey has played so I don’t really get the talk about him? That was the most minutes he’s ever logged in the NHL and he held up well other than that freak bounce.
Agreed, which is why it was so odd for that one guy to keep complaining about his game all night long, even though he couldn't give any specifics about what Casey was doing wrong other than "he's small".

Casey has played two very solid games since being called up. He was really the only dman who didn't have any significant brainfarts / missed assignments last night.

Luke & Kovacevic were flat out awful, and Dumo, Dillon, and Pesce were also very poor.

There were a couple of clearing attempts in the first I thought he struggled on but overall he looked fine to me. Anyone evaluating a rookie based on last night’s game is misguided. The whole team was off. It’s not realistic to expect the rookie to elevate the rest of the team.

If anyone didn't see this last night "glass break kid" (from when he broke the glass panel at the kids party) is hilarious...

That deflection goal in the final minute of the 2nd period may have came from the blue line. That's how deflating that goal was after going from 3-0 to 3-2.

Not for nothing but I blame you for that. If you don’t beat up Markstrom in your posts he would have had much more confidence to make that save . Instead he’s worried about being softy of the night and having to wear a dunce cap in practice thr next day.

I'm not, I'm highlighting how other small defenseman have proven they can be successful in the NHL playoffs.

It's strange to hate on a player to the extent that you'd just start making up stuff about him. The fact you think Makar is 6 inches taller than Casey shows how poor your judgment is.
He is definitely top 5 short guy in the league. Watch him in warmup or lined up on blueline. Thats how you get the real height

There are actually 39 guys shorter than Casey playing in the NHL this year, unless you believe he's the only guy who they measured wrong.

Thats how you get the real height
You get real height by measuring them in a controlled setting

He was measured at 5'9.5 173 at the combine (which is a very precise measurement), so his listed 5'10 181 is quite believable.

Lane Hutson was measured at 5'8.25 158 at the same combine, he seems to be doing okay.
