If you do not recognize that 20 is physically different from the 11 other logs on the ice, I can’t help you.

Under (nearly any) circumstance, do not f***ing trade him.

So, Shattenkirk was incapable of learning hockey IQ? ADA can learn it? Vesey can't? Chytil can?

This is bizarre thinking to me. How do you determine who will or won't learn it or your evaluation in retrospect determines it?
When the f*** did I say that? Lmao I never said they can’t learn it. I’m talking about right now. ADA has improved his IQ, and everyone on this team has the ability to. It’s just at the moment, guys like Vesey and Chytil don’t have a high IQ. That’s all I said. And when did I mention Shattenkirk?

I don’t think I’ve ever had someone misrepresent my argument this much in my life.

Yes, it can be. Some players can learn it quicker than others. Some players don’t learn it at all, but I think most can. It applies to (edit: almost) everyone.

It’s like school. Some people are born smart and don’t have to study. Some people have to study and work hard to get good grades. And some people get poor grades even though they study.

What you just described is the opposite of IQ. IQ cannot be learned.

Also a great lockeroom guy
Do you guys think he’ll maintain this level of play as he ages? Some say his style of play is one you can’t play forever but he really is an insane athlete so idk
Do you still say no to Tolvanen+?

Buch's play there is a direct result of the intensity Lias brings.

And that's a prime example of an "intangible" that we push aside a little too easily. Buch has had some issues with engagement so far in his career, but when you're on a line with a little shit who's gonna stir the pot frequently, then that simply isn't an option. Especially when the little shit is also a good hockey player.

That’s exactly right.

Kreider is a high IQ, Captain-material Guy. Unbelievable conditioning. Size/speed combo is off the charts. Not to mention his absurd (league-leading) ability to redirect pucks in front of the cage.

And I still say empathically say NO to Tolvanen++
