Is blackwood even close on returning? Any news on that front?

Yes I agree after we’ve clinched like during the last ten days he will likely start two or three to see where he’s at.I don’t care about Blackwood. He is going to get a couple of meaningless games by the time he is ready.
nothing a little ivermectin can’t fixWe've seen this entire cycle play out before. He comes back from injury one week, plays one excellent game and one dreadful stinker, then gets injured again and goes right back to IR by the end of the second week.
Lather, rinse, and repeat.
Well, he needs to stir something...How bout Haula? Black with whole milk? Dude's a walking contradiction.
f*** qualifying him. He’s not worth $3+ million. He’s worth maybe slightly more than $1 million a year.I have no idea what the teams plans are for Blackwood for the rest of this season.
Based off his play , inconsistency , injury history , I can see us not qualifying him and not part of our plans moving forward. A few reasons why . Salary , level of play , having VV / Schmid / Daws / Brennan waiting and we just don’t have the cap room to pay him to be a mediocre , oft injured , wildly inconsistent goalie.
But for the rest of this year? No idea. There are only a handful of games left for us to figure out who our goalies will be.
We can’t rely on using him in the playoffs , even as a backup. he is rusty PLUS is inconsistent at the best of times.
I really hope we go with VV as the game 1 starter , and use Schmid as the backup if VV falters or is injured. Too much to risk relying on Blackwood IMO. If he was like a Sorokin level goalie , then hell ya, use him even if just coming back from injury . But not Blackwood .
An crap. Just read this after I wrote about how I don’t think he should or would be given a start anymore .
Wood stirs the drink.
f*** Blackwood
How about that?
Damn mayne. I believe you, yall know your dirt. He should never be playing again clearly. Thank you again for all the answers.... I Will now be making my report byeWhat's hilarious is this worthless shit bag is still even a thing because of THREE years ago and he ain't done shit since.
Vanecek's season this year is on par with with Blackwood's 19-20 season of .915% or not too much of a dropoff, considering 19-20 was a .910% league average, while 22-23 is a .904% league average. 47 games and 43 starts of .915% in 19-20 = 45 games and 43 starts of .909% in 22-23.
Maybe you give Blackwood's 19-20 a slight edge because his February of 2020 was arguably the best month of goaltending a Devils goalie has quite possibly ever had.
Other than that, just move the f*** on already. The guy that's replaced him has been MUCH better. It isn't even anywhere near close. This isn't like making a 4th line forward like Miles Wood sit for his 8 or 10 minute superior replacements while he was gone. We're talking about the most important position in the game and a guy that plays 60 minutes.
The fact that this guy is even potentially an option anymore is a joke. He's probably the worst player on this team, outside of maybe Wood, who was looking a little better before his recent injury. And he adds absolutely no value to the team when he's in and probably even costs us.
I have no idea how there’s any possibility that he hasn’t lost his spot to Schmid, both this year and going forward.
I hate coffee and tea. The world must hate me I bet
