Boyle was oddly good in the shootout too hahaha
yeah, bastian being out just happened to coincide with the team playing like absolute trash for a month and a half. PROBABLY not because of him, but also, maybe bastian truly is the straw that stirs the drink.
I loved having Boyle here. His hockey fights cancer night dominance is the stuff of legends.
And one of my first and favorite gifs.

That was the first and only hat trick of his career.Pretty sure that was his hat trick night in Pittsburgh.

SIGN. THE. DAMN. CONTRACT.I find it funny they had Bratt appear more in that than just about any other player.
And honestly the best net front presence we have in the power play. No offense Nico, but you just can't fit the puck out from behind the net and Bastian excels at that.Well, he definitely is the glue of the 4th line.
I don't know if Bastian would actively make PP1 better, but I guess a knock-on effect would be improving PP2.And honestly the best net front presence we have in the power play. No offense Nico, but you just can't fit the puck out from behind the net and Bastian excels at that.
It wouldn't kill us to have Bastian on Pp1 and make Pp2 better by doing a talented guy down. Right now it's Pp1 or bust and it's more busy than success.
Jack is hard to play with, but he does have a unique chemistry with Bratt. I don't think there is any current forward duo that makes as many neutral zone give-and-gos as they do.
Just give this line a real run. Tatar-Hischier-Mercer showed a lot of chemistry. So did Palat-Haula-Boqvist.
Let 'em cook!
And has the skills to handle some of the high difficulty passes. That's because Bratt plays somewhat of a similar style as Jack and he's the only one who can actually keep up with him on the rush.
I’m going way off topic here . For possible bottom 6 options in the offseason , what do you think we should do . Who do we keep amd who do we let walk / trade / not qualify ?
Who are the locked in , for sure , bottom 6 guys and where do they play (3rd or 4th line )
Id really like to see if we can get Ross Colton off of Tampa as one piece . RFA currently making 1.1 mil. Shouldnt break the bank , perfect bottom 6 player. Grew up in NJ and was a huge Devils fan. Versatile , skilled , has good size . I can’t see Tampa being able to keep him but then again, his salary shouldnt be too much over league min to make that much difference for them?
What do we do with McLeod , Bastian , Wood , Sharangovich , Boqvist , Haula , Foote , Thompson , Clarke , all options for the bottom 6. Does Tatar get extended and stay in the top 6? Does Holtz make the roster amd take a spot , making one of the guys I listed expendable?
PK all aboard the Nate train.
200 foot players just don't get the credit they deserve and how Nico gets criticized and overlooked is beyond me...Produces and plays the full sheet SMHAre you still there? We would not draft J Hughes if we would not draft Hischier. Butterfly effect. Same story with Luke.
And Makar would not win Norris and SC with Conn Smyth especially without NM29 and MR96. There are no universe where you are happy with result of that draft. So please, let’s calm down and deal with PPG center who can play good enough to score 30+ goals and compete for Selky. Let's call it a consolation prize.
Hopefully its just a sickness or something small.I don’t like the idea of Tatar potentially being out
