It's like looking at the deserve o win meter... the eye test has shown Holtz to not be very good and all those high danger chances mean nothing when they're pinned in their own end or he's giving away pucks... he's played up and down the lineup... he's been paired with Toffoli and Hughes and done nothing... in fact most of his production has come as a bottom 6 forward..You're right, why would the Devils want to play one of the few players on the team who can actually generate shots off of high danger passes playing with the teams best passer? Better to let someone else figure out if pairing Holtz with a high danger passer works out.
