SJ would be utterly stupid to trade him as a rental when NJ or Buffalo can give them better value with an extended Meier but hey if Grier wants to flop on a trade with the one player he can trade for a haul, be my guest. Devils can move to Buchnevich or Reinhart if Meier goes elsewhere.
I'm not sure if St. Louis will trade Buchnevich, because I'm not sure if St. Louis/Armstrong knows they're bad yet.

I feel like Florida is gonna desperately grasp at straws to try and stay alive. The hype is real with this team right now. Even on the post game today they're already awaiting their huge inpending second half run. And as soon as they win a game and Buffalo loses, moneypuck jumps them up to 56% to make the playoffs lol and all those sites seem to love them and they're playoff making odds.

It's like a bunch of DD pundits with that team.

I think if ROR and Tarasenko go then I think Buch will get some interest from a team that can fit him, issue with us is the cap and they won't retain next 2 years without something insane going back to them. Plus Buchnevich has a M-NTC but I think he'd relish the chance at a round 1 chance to absolutely destroy the Rangers. Reinhart seems a lot more attainable if the Panthers stumble to the deadline.

These sites seem to heavily weight past performance and all the scoring chance stats it seems. Makes sense why the odds would bet on Florida over Islanders/Sabres, especially after how dominant they were last year.

Florida as an organization still just absolutely baffles me. I still do not understand the logic of trading away Weegar and replacing him with no one. We need another urinatingtree video on this past season and a half for them.

I don’t believe he has at all.

I also don’t think center will be too dire of a position especially if we spruce up the top six. Boqvist seems to have filled in well when he’s played there and the Devils can always go for a deep center group by moving Mercer/Haula both to center if they want too.

It's actually the opposite, Moneypuck relies a lot on how a team is doing currently for their stuff. Our cup chance when we were on that W13 were like 15%-16% and how we've played recently even though we're winning it's down to like 2% because how bad we've looked most of the month of January. Panthers haven't been that bad besides the Rangers games that I can think of, Lyon is an absolute bum. Probably banking that Knight and Bob can give them a fighting chance down the stretch which is honestly fair since they're probably a better roster in terms of skaters than the rest of the bubble teams.

On closer look it seems like Moneypuck really likes xGF% against PDO. I was thinking of Micah McCurdy’s and a couple of the other Twitter ones that seem to put weight on past performance.

I still think it’s weird that they have 9 teams in each conference/18 teams with like a 52% or 56% chance at the playoffs.

I’m not sure they have that right at this moment, but I know there’s been several times this year that they did. And not just them, but also hockey reference and the athletic, who have the same thing. Although I think it’s hockey reference that’s been higher on Buffalo, while money puck likes the Panthers more.

The Panthers were like 52% and then lost a game and Buffalo had that streak and it dripped down to like 29% for Florida in like a day.

And I think Buffalo went from like 56% or 52% down to 38% after losing their last game before the break to Carolina.

And honestly, there’s probably not a noticeable difference between Lyon and current 2023 Bob.

Bob has been on the decline since probably the year before he signed with Florida. Last year was merely an up year which I easily predicted would not be repeated this year.

Same shit with Jonathan Quick last year, who is even that much more decrepit than Bob currently is.

Knight is their only hope. Or they just outscore everybody.

Makes sense, they gotta add up to 800% in total. I think a lot of people think the Panthers will do well against the schedule in the second half similar to what they almost did to us in 2018 by almost hawking us down. Their problems seem way more reasonable to fix than the other teams that are hanging at the bubble. But for the Devils sake, I hope they fold insanely hard so a guy like Reinhart or Bennett become available. Would be great adds to this team.

Brady f'n HORSE-COLLARS Jack and the crap-stain from a s--tty podcast for a forever-irrelevant franchise dares to tweet that out?

I think the idea is we might need to replace Mikey and he is thinking Barbashev might fit the bill.

Most here love Bratt, myself included, but JbITbPiTnHl was dumb on mulitple levels. The most obvious being he is not the best player in the NHL. The second most obvious being he is not even the best player on the team.

I thought the on ice gathering for Bratt was pretty cringy, surprised the team allowed that to happen, and hope with tweets like the one above about Shara, that that will make the team realize that this guy should not be in tight with the organization.

A Twitter user who is a devils fan was tweeting out incorrect information about Bratt and Gaudreau over the summer. We all gave him shit on here, he got word of it, made an account, and tried to defend himself. It went about as well as you’d expect.

And this was him tweeting about Yegor.
