With his 18 games in Czechia's top, league his number is 322 GP and that would make him an AHL veteran.

If the Comets get another veteran, he damned well better be a center!

it would probably be cool for Zboril to go to The Czech for the first two regular season games. maybe that puts a lil pep in his step to try to make the team even more so

These new additions helped beef us up a bit
Beefing up doesn’t correlate with being a good team. A good portion of those teams near us or above us in weight are bad or just meh. You have one cup winner in there. The Avs and Panthers who also won cups recently and are a contender while being at the bottom of the heaviness list. The stars who are considered cup contenders as well are at the bottom too. It’s all mindset.

Yup, never said it correlated to toughness but we definitely moved up the charts in basic size the last two years.

Working through the Devils section of the new 32 Thoughts right now. Not exactly groundbreaking, but Elliott says he looks at the cap space and doesn’t see how they make a long term deal work with Mercer right now. He sees more of a bridge deal situation.

I just noticed something...the Devil's have a preseason game against the Flyers in Philly on October 3rd then a game in Prague October 4th? Who the hell made that schedule?

That's only 28 days away and still no Mercer contract. Poor kid, this isn't going to turn out well for him.

B-Squad will stay behind as something of a warmup game for the AHL season.

Does anyone know when they are planning to leave? I'd assume it would be at least a few days before? They also have an October 1st game against the Rangers.

They can use different rosters.

He isn’t the only one kid without the deal. He will be fine.

The centers available appear to be Chris Tierney and that's about it. Everyone else listed as a UFA center on Puckpedia is either on a PTO already, is playing in Europe, or has signed an AHL contract.

Where's Rem Pitlick going? He seemed like he could be a good fit. Is he PTO somewhere?
