Really nothing has been done and no steps have been taken.

But definitely crazy that they haven't signed anyone before free agency opened. Not sure what they are doing

there's still free agency. not the best way to build a team obviously but let's hope fitz chooses wisely

Free agency hasn't even started yet and by all accounts we're signing two of the best defenders available

Brother in Christ enough with this already..how do you not get tired of doing this?

If we signed stamkos to a short term deal I would be extremely happy with trading holtz for cotter. I heard Tampa cleared the cap space to go after guentzel. Stammer is basically the sniper we wished holtz could become for Jack or Nico

Tomorrow should be a good day, a rest day for everyone not to stress over everything. Monday being FA should be wild though.

Adding Pesce and Dillon allows the kids to develop properly

Will allow Hamilton to fade down when he regresses

Then Casey and this new Russian will be a young influx in a few years while Hughes and Nemec take the wheel

And third pairing Dmen can always be found when needed

I don’t want to get too excited before it’s confirmed but signing Pesce and Dillon will be huge (as long as Pesce’s deal is reasonable).

Bahl, Schmid and Holtz are not known quantities. It's unclear what they will be. They all had a tough sink or swim situation but none of them were solid.

He's just traded uncertainty for certainty. Playtime is over.

You know what Pesce (and maybe Dillon) are exactly. You know what Markstrom at his best looks like.

The Pesce-Marino swap is probably the most questionable one.

At first I thought you were just listing forwards and defensemen, then I saw Schmid listed. Including Schmid but not Markstrom seems like a bit of a miss. And even though McLeod is gone that's hardly on Fitz.

Some steps haven't been taken yet but it seems very likely by all accounts that we're going to sign Pesce and Dillon on Monday. We'll see if that actually happens though.

You want everyone to convince you of Fitz's plan. No matter what anyone says you are going to be upset with what has and hasnt happened yet. No one knows whats going to happen in the next couple days months. Some are hopeful and trust the process. You do not. That's fine, stay nervous.

It’s not a miss it’s just completely disingenuous which is typical for him when he’s trying to make points. Everyone here knows it

Stenlund from Florida maybe? Big, solid PKer and face-off guy. I believe he was on the FLA PK2 this entire playoff run.

Doesn't put up a lot of points though and only had 1 point in the playoffs. Was pretty much a ghost out there unless on the PK

Forward depth still seems not great to me. And there’s (currently) no replacement for Toffoli in the top 6 either.
