VS. DALLAS STARS
Ring of Honor presented by Citizens
The Devils will induct their second honoree into the Ring of Honor prior to the game when they take on the Stars during this Saturday night matchup. All fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition Ring of Honor pin courtesy of Citizens!
oh? Lou? Brylin?
Interesting...I always interpreted it as most important to the franchise regardless of external factors like HOF or other league wide accolades.
I have a question for you, guys. Why Prudential was build with so limited amount of seats? Extra 2000 seats could benefit the profit part. Or does it make no sense because of the insufficient audience?
Сan you post other cards? You want to repost them for our fans too.

Are you saying Eichel is too high? Or Nico is too low?the tiers are not paywalled
nico is a 2C
eichel is 2B
f*** off with that shit and get with the times athletic
I think the Athletic just wanted to put him at #63 because....shits and giggles.Seems odd that Bratt is were he is...just from a team perspective, I'd have him well above Meier and Hamilton... arguably above Nico as well..but it's reasonable to give the nod to the center position...but their production is so similar both career and last season. Bratt's value is in the possession. His relCF% blows away everyone else on the team

Finally our boi gets the recognition he deserves. Congrats on the ring of honor

Yes. Used to officially seat ~1.1k more for hockey.Didn’t We actually removed 1,000 seats for the hockey capacity ?
As long as they don't eat sushi in some random airport they should be fine.Is anybody else a little nervous that they're all on the same plane?

Team poster on opening night? Lame.
Bobbleheads seem to me the only decent giveaway.
Yeah why the secrecy…I’d joke that’s a sure sign it’s Lou but I doubt it for the reasons already stated in this threadI wonder who is going into the ring of honor.

We went from 19,040 at the meadowlands to 16,514 in Newark...I believe it was done to add additional luxury boxes, the fire and ice bars, a restaurant and table top seating. At least that was what was talked about 17/18 years ago.
We can't fill it when we suck so it doesn't make sense to have had more seats. The Meadowlands always had a hard time of getting a legit sellout unless it was a huge game and that's when we were dominating a lot of years.

Thanks, Guys!Multiple reasons.
1) Devils historically haven't drawn as well, so you want to balance the available number of seats to demand in order to maximize revenue. Too many available seats hurts overall prices, unless you start covering seats up, Oakland A's style, which is never a good look for the team.
2) The next 2000 seats you add are almost always going to be less valuable than previous ones when dealing with an arena around a defined rink (or field) size. They're almost by definition worse, higher up, or with worse sight lines. Even separate from the impacts of 1), you just can't sell those seats for as much so there's less impetus to add them if it's going to negatively impact the game experience of the 16.7k patrons already there.
3) Related to 2) but from the opposite end as revenue, it generally becomes more expensive on a per seat basis to add seats to a design (without negatively impacting the previously existing seats). Sections have to be bigger, roof higher, you need more infrastructure for bathrooms and fire exits, etc. It's a complicated balancing act.
There's been a trend in North American pro sports generally over the past couple decades of building smaller stadiums and arenas with a more premium experience. In a world where you have much more ticket pricing flexibility (unlike, say, the Bundesliga), adding more seats is often not how you maximize revenue.
