2013-15 was the definition of the word "copium" when it came to cheering for spare parts to put it all together. I guess not having a first round pick (thanks for the 4D chess move, Lou!) in 2014 made that necessary.

At least in crap years where you have a pick, you can cheer for your team to sort of tank (while not being obvious enough to get banned from here). I.e. last year I kept watching games to cheer for the progress of Hughes, Nico, and Bratt while focusing all my hate on Zacha and the goalies. Still made watching at least a bit entertaining.

I'm trying to look closer and I dont even know what that logo is.. for a moment it looks like NJD and then it looks out of place. The shade of red on the jersey feels very CHI like too.

Will Team Europe be coached by Ralph Krueger again? They were a very good, hard working, tough to play against team last time. I think much in part to his fine coaching expertise.

I'm really throwing it back even further with these ones and I'm still in my 20's here, but how about that Barry Tallackson? He could easily score 20-25 goals playing with Elias and he's definitely good enough to play with him.

How about that Suglobov? It's just too bad he got traded for SPACE JUNK Ken Klee. It is my firm belief that we LOSE any traded where we acquire Ken Klee. At least by 2006. Maybe not in 1995.

I've been saying this since the 2012 playoffs, but I always thought bearded Kovalchuk in the 2012 playoffs looked a lot like bearded Stallone training in Russia (which was really filmed in Wyoming) in Rocky IV.

Kind of funny that Kovalchuk was a Russian, while Rocky goes to Russia to fight another Russian, who was played by a Swede, but that's just trivia and besides the point.

Toffoli's 4.25M is going to be given right to Mercer. And why are we ignoring the cap going up + veterans ring chasing? I get that we're Devils fans and most of this fanbase is young but the latter is definitely going to happen with the core they have in place.

I have no idea why such a washed up, sack of shit grenade handler (at least by that point that's all he was) that was slower than Colin White was so popular.

I literally thought he wasn't even any better than the guy we banished to the minors a month or two earlier (McGillis) or even Malakhov, who peaced out a few months before that.
