We are 4 points behind Detroit (with a game in hand) and 5 points behind Tampa (with 2 games in hand, and playing them this weekend)

if we beat Tampa in that game, we're practically tied point % wise.

I get it - they're in it to make money and all, but it certainly dilutes my interest in the sport/team.

NHL should've at least made companies have a matching color scheme.

I don’t think Toffoli is returning a 1st. I’d take a 2nd and a decent prospect.

Yes, Toffoli can get us a second round pick which would replace our second round pick we gave to the Sharks (unless they make it to the Eastern Conference Finals, then its a first round pick).

Miller may get us a 4th round pick which would replace the 5th round pick we gave up for him. I'd consider re-signing Miller but I don't think he'll want to be a 7th defenseman just yet (nor get paid as one).

I mean he does lead the whole team in goals by 4. What would a good fit be doing? And he’s been credited with 54 hits. Palat has 62, Timo 58, Mercer has 19.

That mercer number is actually embarrassing. He is an expert at avoiding contact. No wonder he never misses a game

I just don't understand the "lets trade Toffoli" stuff, because for that to happen they'd need to basically bomb out between now and the trade deadline. As long as they stay hovering around where they have been, I don't see it happening.

I'm not trading Toffoli right this moment or anything, but by the deadline we are closer to the end of the line and have more info to make an educated decision. If we are in a similar spot to where we are right now, I'm probably putting him and Miller on the market and moving on.

I'd be surprised if the devils actually did it though.
