It's us and Toronto for the most part, but I feel we could still blow them away in any offer, and they may just roll with Woll too. Maybe LA gets in the mix as well. I trust Fitz, way too much smoke, if not a deadline deal, he will address it over the summer. I'm not opposed to running with Daws, but Saros would be my target. I understand why others wouldn't though for sure.

they need someone thats for sure. if you want to wait til summer fine with me but they need a vet in front of daws no more cheap maybe options. if they get saros then daws job/role is limited here and he becomes a piece to trade

What do you think the overall distribution is on a return for Markstrom?

55% for the actual player, 45% for the retention?

I am not all that surprised if the retention is nearly doubling the cost, tbh.

No Retention - NJ doesn't offer enough for CGY to be interested, deal doesn't happen imo
50% Retention - NJ has to pay up a 1st, Holtz, Casey to get him

There's wiggle room lets say between 20%-50% retention, but Markstrom's AAV needs to get under 5m or NJ doesn't want him, target is maybe 4.2m.

The deal only makes sense for both sides if CGY retains a lot to get that cap hit very low. CGY doesn't want cap space, they just want legit, meaningful futures and doesn't have to trade Markstrom but will do it if NJ makes it worthwhile.

They 1000% need a goalie as Vitek is not it, but no reason to overpay if Fitz feels he has some leverage and can do better.

How the hell do we fit in 8ish mill for Saros? Mercer has to be part of the deal unless we unload someone with a big contract.

What is the cap rising, another $4 mill or so? Unloading Vanacek + bump in cap limit would take care of most of that. It's definitely not as easy as it sounds with contracts needed for Mercer then Luke and Nemec.

Didn't you read my post, it's the American Medical Association. Speaking of the AMA, where are my memory pills, high blood pressure pills, heart medication, digestive biscuits, fiber supplements, and nerve tonic? Get me my walker while you are looking for all that.

Right in front of you. Try putting your trifocals on.

Do the devils even need retention? Vitek is most likely going back ?

you'd think Vitek would have to go back the other way, plus remember we don't have to account for McLeod's next contract anymore.

With the cap going up (projected to be $92M the year Saros extension would kick in) they could certainly fit him in. But that is a big reason why I'd rather trade Mercer than multiple 1sts/High end prospects since it makes more sense cap wise.

I guess it could work, but I do think they'd ask for another asset to take Vitek.
It really would be a current core defining move.

The Devils ticket sale Facebook group is post after post of people selling their tickets for the Rangers game on Thursday. In case anyone will be wondering why the crowd is so blue on Thursday.

Honestly, I get the logic. You can get more than usual for the resale of the rivalry game ticket, and I wouldn’t want to deal with the absolute meatheads in both fanbases who come out of the woodwork for that game in particular.

It’s the problem of the commons: what is good for the individual sucks for all of us when everybody does it.

The cupboard is relatively barren as far as forwards outside of Gritsyuk so I am in no rush to move Mercer or Holtz for Markstrom. We really need to just let it ride with Daws and Schmid while hoping Vitek can at least be serviceable. I don't think that's punting the season as much as it's playing the long game. We don't move premium assets, yet.

I haven't had pizza in almost a year.
I didn't eat pizza for year too. I don't know what happened. Just understand that its not the best way to utilize cheese, that there are a lot of better ways to cook meet, that the most of the taste is dough, and its a lot if dough. Its not healthy and I can make better dish from the same ingredients or pay the same money for better dish and it will be better for my health. May be pancreatitis effects on my decision.
I still think it can be good and tasty. And I believe I will eat it in some situation but there were no situation in the last year where I can't decide and when I decided I preferred other options.

A lot of extra carbs btw. And what will happen if we eat more carbs? More co2. We should think about the mother nature. Save the planet, eat less pizza.
I believe Italians should be against eco bio politism.
