Since I was the one brought up that trade, I feel the need to say I don't think anyone made the claim we "lost the Toffoli-Sharangovich trade"

It was a conversation about fit(speed)with our team. At least that's what I was saying.

How could we obtain our leading goal scorer and lose the trade?

There's def someone on here who said it. I forget who but someone certainly did. Same thing with Meier.

I dunno if we've talked about it much but... it kinda seems like a LOT of players have been sick this season, right? Kinda wonder if they've been trying to downplay a bug running through the locker room all year. It would certainly fit the theme of the injury season from hell.

Just want to share that after the discourse about us having lost the Toffoli-Sharangovich trade when Rango was red hot, he has 2 assists and is a -6 in his last 9 games ( today included so far) while Toffoli has 8 goals in his last 10 games. Toffoli has 4 more goals and 1 more point than Rango in two less games played.

Both are streaky. Scorers are streaky. You know... Meier?

Its little bit strange from team building perspective now. Meier blocked by Bratt(who is awesome and should play where he feels comfort to), Toffoli(who is scoring and doesnt play well all around on the left side) and Mercer(who is good enough to play top-9 role, but cant play on the left and in center). Meier is adequate on the left side, he is "LH", so Devils decided to use their 8.8 mil player on the position where he mostly didnt play in NHL and was very productive on the right wing.

Im ok to sign Toffoli, but I would prefer to find better left winger for the next year and use Bratt, Meier, Mercer and Holtz as right wingers. For now our top-6 wingers are Palat and Haula. Our 3rd line winger is Meier. Its... not very smart management in maximizing our players and their potential.

That's the interesting thing, Daws has made some huge saves recently. Whether it was the Kings game, or the 2nd period last night. If he doesn't make those saves are we saying the defense has been good recently?

I actually think we haven't played especially well in this little run. But we've gotten good goal tending.

If the goal tending holds up, I think we eventually find our footing on ice wise, and we can go on a real run.
