Unfortunate if he doesn’t make it, but the fact there’s even discussion about it means he shouldn’t be out for too long, hopefully.

Not to be a downer but imo the concern is they either can't diagnose the issue, or the issue is a concussion and he's got headaches with no clear timeline to return.

I think that if it was the case we’d hear straight out that he’s not making the trip, but I guess we’ll see. Don’t really feel like going doom and gloom on this subject as we don’t know anything, don’t even know if it’s a concussion.

I see where you’re coming from, but meh idk, he was seemingly fine after the Isles game, the Clifton hit is a seperate issue. We’ll see how it goes, but he might end up being back after the trip.

I think he's talking about the Buffalo game. After the hit, Nico came back and got hit hard again then never came back.

Nico just had 0 tentativeness to his game. He dives right into the dirty areas. I wish he’d do it a little less, considering his attempts are most of the times very high risk, low reward. He just doesn’t shy away from taking a hit to make a play.

Jack and Bratt know to choose their moments, and they’re not the same type of player.

God I love this medical staff/team f***ing up with Nico AGAIN. He totally has a concussion my guess and has to rest and probably not go out and do anything, which makes sense that he was not at the halloween party. Really sucks

we lose a top 6 forward and Holtz gets essentially demoted. Really frustrating. Mercer should be on the 4th line if his play this year is any indication tbh.

I don’t see how at a minimum shifting around all 3 of Holtz, Palat, and Lazar doesn’t make for a better lineup. What does Lazar provide to that line that Palat can’t do too? Bratt’s lines are pretty much always going to outperform the opposition so while the numbers look good with Palat they likely look nearly as good with Holtz and Palat’s not providing any offense while Holtz could.

The concussion spotters aren’t the team medical staff. They’re employed by the league.

Concussions are just part of the equation with head injuries. He could have whiplash, stiff neck, disc damage, etc.

If he does indeed have a concussion and was allowed back into the game against Buffalo, then someone needs to lose their job. What's the point in having spotters and neurologists if they just let these guys back into the game? If there's any slight suspicion that he has even a single concussion symptom, you pull him from the game.

Unless Nico lied about his symptoms to get back on the ice, which is possible, and if that's the case then he and Fitzgerald need to have a long conversation.

HARDNESS. Holtz needs to go out there and say f*** it and just start gooning it up for a bit and Lindy will then respect him. Start ramming into guys left and right. Go get into a fight. Then he’ll be allowed to play more.
