To get away from all the Smith talk, what are everyone’s hopes for the stadium series jerseys?

Personally, the Oilers logo itself was hideous, but I loved the look of the brown gloves/pants. Would be really cool if the Devils could loop that into their uniform. It might be a bit too much with the idea below, but I think it could work.

Aside from that, I would love to see the weathered beige look on the Devils 92-17 jerseys. Take the white jerseys and swap all the white out for that weathered beige/cream color and I think they’d look dynamite. Likely the Devils want to go red being the home team, but maybe you can make an homage to wearing white at home all those years at the Meadowlands.

The jersey devil like that hat Dougie was wearing could be interesting too. It's a one off thing and we already have 4 jerseys with the white and green heritage so I would rather see them go nuts.

I’m not an artist but I’d enjoy the state outline as the base of a crest with some sort of mythical jersey devil on top of it. Maybe the Devil could appear to be straddling the state and be in hockey gear?

But done by someone with artistic ability and such.

If it actually is a concussion which would make sense considering they said he’s being evaluated day by day then I’m not going to put any real stock into the cancellation meaning anything for his health. If he has a concussion then there’s just flat out no time table. He could be back this week. He could be back in months

Whatever he is, he's done. But he's also only here as a stopgap to avoid throwing Luke and Nemec out there at the same time until they gather some cap space to get someone better at the deadline.

Good thing they don't need to. Can play Luke with Dougie and Siegs with Nemec. Done.

Ruff’s not getting fired this year. Green is also the guy running our PP. I highly highly doubt they’d make Green the coach.

A defenseman's priority is to protect goal. Severson lost control of the puck and missed the proper breakout pass most of his career here, but it wasn't until the end that I thought he was starting to understand the role and become better.

I think our team is excellent, we just need that chemistry click that will come any day. Watch when it happens, we will go on a long winning streak. We have all of the pieces. Perhaps we could be a little tougher for the playoffs, but overall we have a nice talented back and front to beat anyone.

With the way these stadium series go, feels like anything is possible. Still feel like they completely missed the ball on Reverse Retro by not revamping the Scouts logo to show the state of NJ and the Jersey Devil. If they didn’t do it then I doubt they do it now.

We’ve already had green throwbacks, so feels like that would’ve been the logical choice. Maybe they add a new Jersey Jersey, but feels like it would be smarter to just keep that to the all black uniforms.

It seems like the stadium series they like to go with the chromed out logos, which I personally think look dumb. I still think a simple homage to the old jerseys with beige instead of white would be my preferred option. That with brown gloves/pants could look really neat, almost make it feel like a throwback while not changing the jersey at all. Can have Flyers go back to their uniforms from all those late 90s and early 2000s playoff battles to complete the look.

oh of course not!!

i was referring to the associate label for Green; that puts him above the rest of the staff besides Lindy!

so in a crazy hypothetical where Ruff gets sick for a month or so or retires randomly, Travis would take over

idk who the head coach should be going forward.. but i do want them to be a game-manager more than we have now!

i feel our talent is carrying us through some coaching deficiencies tthe last season and ten games

He got put into a different role that suited him far better than where he was the majority of his career (he’s back in it again now) with him getting put in a position that’s way over his head. Difference in opinion I felt he forced way too many passes, was in the wrong position too often, and struggled with decisions on the fly.

The 5 on 5 offense doesn't concern me. A lot of guys started ice cold and it won't stay that way.

The PK has a philosophical issue with being too passive.

Maybe that’s from the coaches or maybe that’s from new players playing but either way, I think the structure of the PK is sound. They’ve been good relatively positionally and the flowing Diamond structure worked well last year.

I’m hoping turning the aggressiveness dial up to medium-high at the right times takes the PK all the way from struggling to good.

My only issue with this one is I feel like they didn't use the right red so it almost looks more Minnesota Wild like to me in terms of colors.

But it’s really not new players. Like sure there’s Bahl but outside of that it’s really a bunch of guys who were on the PK last year. It’s still Siegs, Marino, Smith, Nico, Bastian, McLeod, Haula, Mercer. Bratt’s new to this iteration and there’s Lazar. Bratt’s one of the most aggressive PKers though and Lazar’s been a PKer in the past. It’s just weird how much differently they’re playing this year in comparison to last
