I get the feeling Timo's raw production this year will disappoint a lot of people, But his play style forces the opponents to be honest in how they defend him an his line.

I asked this earlier and got no response. He had a very slow start last season too. Is that typical for him?

Watching the Detroit game On demand now...first period didn't seem as bad on TV as it was live. I think the nervous anticipation of the crowd made it feel worse?

Oh yea that was wonderful, I can’t believe they penalized him. God forbid he brace and protect himself.
Well it's the refs job to make sure the skilled players are grabbed, held, cross-checked, and otherwise slowed down so the bad players don't get embarrassed.

Good game last night. Missed the GDT, but I am surprised Detroit had more SOG than us. I felt like I saw a team that is on the verge of skating circles around everybody, but just has to get in the flow. I want us to be getting goalies pulled regularly. Of course that's a high bar to meet and not a fair expectation, but we have the firepower.

It was the first period. NJ skated tentatively at first. Detroit skated 110% at first. The Wings started to run out of gas in the second and the game flipped back into the Devils’ favor. If NJ had pushed harder in the third they maybe score an extra goal or two.

What I want to see

Pp1 Nico Jack Bratt mercer hamilton

Pp2 built around timo and Luke

Pp1 is missing Dougies shot right now. I think Jack and Luke should each run their own pp

You're also taking away what makes PP1 with Jack and Luke dynamic....I get your thought process though.

Luke moves extremely well, opens lanes and passes like a lazer beam... still that Dougie shot...Man that needs to be on the first PP. And Luke has a good shot but Dougie brings another level.

I agree with @Emperoreddy from the game day thread…biggest issue so far is lack of chemistry and them being just slightly off on execution.

I think it’s nuts that people are acting like a two game sample size means anything with regards to the second line. I mean what’s gonna happen, they’re going to suddenly turn into bottom six players? Get a grip guys.
