This is old news, and led to a revival of the Josh Anderson to NJD thread on the trade board, but I never saw the quotes from the Montreal podcaster we were supposed to take seriously. Good old Montreal Hockey Now lol.
Maybe I missed this being posted due to Thanksgiving, it’s from Nov 23, but it’s entertaining enough I’m sharing it with the class.
That last paragraph kills me.
Love the ludicrous “just to be clear, they aren’t trading the most valuable players currently on their roster for Josh Anderson” as an intro to sell the idea that he gets them blue chip prospects.
There’s no realistic “package” that gets them Holtz unless the other parts do an enormous amount of the heavy lifting. Even then, blue chip defensive prospects for a non-elite winger is from outer space.
I could actually see Fitz kicking the tires on Anderson at some point in the past (he kicks a lot of tires), particularly after Wood’s injury, but not buying him having any willingness in paying a lot for him at all.
Zetterlund is a RW who does a lot of the same things, so we got a better solution.
Lol at describing Anderson as being in “high demand” too.
