wasnt he on waivers a month ago and no one bit? I cant see anyone taking him
He was on waivers beginning of October. Makes sense teams passing on him then and taking a chance with younger players. Now teams have things a bit more figured out, could see them giving a team giving him a chance.

A team like Chicago could find some use in Johnsson for free. Cheap relative to cap hit, will help them hit minimum while they shop all their rentals.

Much more likely he’s taken now then when he was on waivers before the season.

Id really like to get out ahead of the pack for a goal scorer, Fitzgerald. If youre reading this..

Were last year's Panthers if mom told us she had shooters at home already and saved on that chunk of the party package.

'member when Devils hockey was fun, y'all? Shit.

I'd take "entertaining" at this point. This franchise is just pain

After watching a bit of the USA games at the WJC I am wondering if perhaps we could trade for Tyler Boucher. perhaps was drafted a bit to early in the 1st round but he has gone on to have a good season so far this year. He seems to understand what his job is and where his talent lies already if you look at his play at the WJC.

We desperately need a net front presence other then Bastian and he would cost a lost less then Crouse. Ottawa really likes Big and Tall players so perhaps Bahl + Filmon? or Bahl + Filmon +?
Sens won’t give up on a kid they drafted that high. It would have to be an overpay. That and I thnk we need a proven commodity right now . Someone that has shown and proved to be an established finisher

Frustration is the word that comes to mind.

Sure, it's frustrating to watch a team get chances and not score, but I've been watching Devils teams not get chances and not score for a decade.

The Devils were given credit for 3.47 xGF tonight against the Bruins at evens, they did not have this many xGF at evens in any game in 2014-2015.

Adam Larsson was good that year too; shame he didnt workout here

He looks revitalized this year in Seattle.

Fun fact, it’s also the 2nd highest xGA the Bruins have had this year at even strength. The highest was 3.66 xGA against PIT on November 1st. Boston won that game 6-5.

I’m just not really sure what the doomers want or expect. I’m watching the team outshoot and out chance the opponent, it’s just the margins are incredibly thin and the difference between winning and losing is the opponent having slightly better goaltending or finishing. Am I supposed to expect that the team is going to keep shooting like 3% for the remainder of the season and be on the wrong end of every one goal game from now on?

I suppose it’s possible but I wouldn’t classify it as very likely. It’s bizarre how many posters are throwing around hot takes about the team being bad based on one month of razor thin margins not going our way. The team literally has like twice as many points as they did at this time last year. It’s not the same at all.

The team wont keep shooting so low you're right but they could also use a better shooter as well. Most contenders or higher end playoff teams have a 30+ goal guy they can get the puck to and feel confident. Im not sure we have that player right now outside Jack on the PP with that shot he loves right on the top-inside circle

i'm not gonna expect playoffs, but i hope we are in the hunt for it, and we figure out how to fix our offense. even w the low S%, our strat has to change somehow. we're completely stuck on the perimeter

Good move not to give Bratt a insane 9mil + per or whatever.

Go for Meier. Resign Severson and try to get a good established veteran player for Bratt.

They’re obviously not a basement dweller this year but they’re only four points up on the bubble now. Three weeks ago they were like fifteen up and it was unthinkable they’d blow a playoff spot but here we are. It’s utterly alarming how quickly that cushion disappeared.

People were just asking for that to happen during the win streak acting like this team was the best in the league and giving other teams fans the middle finger for disagreeing about that. You reap what you sow.

Gotta snap this losing streak.
