Sorry to be so blunt, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Awful....

I have no idea what I'm talking about and Chiere completely fabricated a series of quotes from thin air? Do you know how ridiculous you sound??

Probably all accurate. This is a very risky deal with a slow player who prides himself on physicality. It isn't any shock that learned hockey scouts are wary of this move. No conspiracy is at work.

And there are plenty of others that think he is a good replacement for Clarkson. Lou is no fool, and I don't think he employs yes men.

You think that opinions in organizations are monolithic???? There are differences of opinions throughout the personnel offices of all teams.

No way! Really? Yet you're going to act like anyone in this organization (as I'm sure the overwhelming majority were on board) is just clueless because you feel the most obvious signs this guy sucks were always there.... Keep going with that theory of yours.

Umm....YES.

How difficult can it be to believe that Chere is just looking for a story to break?

He's not in the Journalism business. He's in the National-Enquirer style of business.

I wouldn't be shocked if he made this crap up. It's his M.O.

There are times in life when you just need to shut your mouth and stop acting like a pouting little child. This is one of those times...

This isn't about me. It's about some delusional fans creating this illogical conspiracy theory to Rich Chiere, who I'm not even a fan of.

He's an attention-grabbing dumbazz who couldn't break a story even if it was smashed upside his head.

Chiere went out of his way to fabricate quotes and attribute it to someone in the personnel department of the devils. :shakehead:D:shakehead Jesus Christ! I can't believe this conversation is occurring.

Think about the team you're a fan of. Think about it again. Think about it a third time.

When have Devils front office management been prone to leak that Player X isn't a fit once they're signed? Honestly I'm not naive, I know that Lou doesn't employ yes men who agree with every signing (and that's great). But let's not sit here and pretend that it's more likely than not that Chiere found a leak in what's probably the Fort Knox of Hockey organizations.

I don't think he fabricated the quotes, but I have no idea why this anonymous scout's opinion is more valuable than Lou's.

No one is saying that. Lou has had a hardon for Clowe for sometime and he's the final arbiter.

You don't think people in the org didn't want Clowe, and especially at the price we ended up getting him for?

There is very little chance Chere made up those quotes.

I know it's easier to say, Chere made this up because he is a hack, or he needs attention. Any time any writer says anything negative about the Devils it's the same retort. He is a hack, he makes stuff up, he hates the Devils.

Then what else are you saying? Clearly you don't like this contract and you agree with the scout's opinion. Lou is not infallible, but he's not usually wrong when he likes a player this much.

yeah, did noone notice these? sorry if they were posted, was watching Wimbledon at the time (go Murray!)

Rich Chere ‏@Ledger_NJDevils 11h

With Devils' interest in Ryane Clowe, one member of the organization says: “I saw him play for the Rangers and I saw him in San Jose...

Rich Chere ‏@Ledger_NJDevils 11h

"He might be a big, strong guy but there was a reason why he struggled a little bit. The game got quicker. Some guys could handle it...

Rich Chere ‏@Ledger_NJDevils 11h

"I don’t think he’d be the right fit here.”

The game got quicker from 11-12 to 12-13? What is this dude talking about?

Clowe struggled last year because of piss poor shooting luck.

Lou's FA signings since the cap have been introduced would hardly be called great

Over the last couple of years, enforcers with substandard skating skills have been slowly pushed out of the league. The game has gotten quicker.

Are you actually comparing Ryane Clowe to a run of the mill enforcer?

This has been a skating league since 05-06. Ryan Clowe managed to a be a pretty useful player through 11-12, so the thesis that the game has left him behind is pretty unfounded.
