This year yes. He's put up almost as many points this year as he had in the last 2 years in 110 games. 22 and 35 points total each last 2 seasons. 56 points this year already in 44.

His contract isn't good, but I'd have to believe several teams would be interested if the Sharks could retain a decent amount.

He's signed 4 more years. Perhaps there's a trade to be made with retention, much like McDonagh last year who had 4 years left and goes until he's 37.

Only there was no retention with McDonagh.
