Grandpa Joe is almost as bad as Jenny from Forest Gump.

Yeah it doesn’t sound good but I don’t know what management can do about guys being sick. (I mean it’s Nico, he has to be very sick or he would be out there to battle with the boys). Is management supposed to heal them or something? Better teams have had flu-related losses. The Avs are on a 4 game losing streak thanks to a couple of injuries plus the flu.

Bratt was out about four days and looked off when he played Sunday. Hischier got sick on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Maybe Hischier can return for the last two games but do they even bother at this point? I don't see him trying to play just to get one more point.

I just had the strangest dream last night and I better go ahead and explain it before I forget it. Very fitting for this GDT.

I was on vacation at some strange resort (somewhere here in the great state of Florida where I have lived for almost 11 years now) somewhere, one guy I went to school with and was pretty good friends with for most of my life but don’t see a whole lot of now (he moved from Jersey to Rincon, Puerto Rico about 5 years back so he could surf every day, Rincon is one of the surf meccas of the Caribbean and for immigration purposes it’s very simple to up and move to Puerto Rico) was the only person I really recognized in this dream from real life.

I met Jack Albertson (who has been dead since I was 5 years old), the actor who played Grandpa Joe, in my dream. He was at this resort staying with his wife. And I had apparently met him before many times throughout my life, including as a child and he told me he remembered me because I always look the same and have a very unique look about myself. I was so excited that he remembered me. I never did meet Jack Albertson in real life.

I don’t know what made me dream about Jack Albertson, but it was certainly weird to open this GDT up today and see him in here.

And it gets even weirder. I woke up to see a new text message from my friend in Puerto Rico, who I haven’t heard from in a bit.

April 1st , just days after these weird dreams, the 70 million dollar lotto was won by a guy where the winning ticket was bought from a gas station. The gas station is right beside my work that I buy tickets at religiously for the past 3 years. Lotto was Canada wide , the chances it’s won in Western Canada is rare let alone the population of 1000 town .
I have been going crazy since I heard the winning ticket was sold there. Lookig through my sodtware program at work that tracks my work orders , I can roughly figure out approx. what time I was at the gas station when I bought the ticket to see if it was around the same time as winning ticket was sold lol. I asked the workers what time it was sold to see if it would have been same time I was there lol. they aren’t sure but figure in a time frame arojd when I was there… I know it doesn’t work that way with how numbers are generated with randomly generated numbers but still. I spend way too much time thinking about what could have been and “if only “ I did somerhug different I would have won the 70 million.

I'm pretty sure @Better Call Sal started the Grandpa Joe stuff at least a few games ago, right? That had to be why I started dreaming about him and it wasn't as random as it seems.

Although Jack Albertson is actually an inside joke and very long story between a friend and I regarding some guy he knows with a similar name to Jack Albert. He would tell me to stop saying this person's name (Jack Albertson is not their name, but you kind of have to say their name to say Jack Albertson) and I would troll him by asking him ''Do you know what the guy's name was who played Grandpa Joe in the original Willy Wonka?'' and he would go ''Yeah! Jack Albertson!'' and I would laugh at him for saying it and he'd tell me ''You're gonna be punished for that one!''.
