Why shouldn't last year be considered a fluke? Same core.

Playoffs were possible until 2/3 weeks from seasons end. Low T.

We spent almost the entire 3rd period in our first end. They should have scored the go-ahead goal 2-3 minutes earlier and they didn’t. And we still iced it after being pinned in for over a minute when they didn’t score.

We didn’t deserve shit tonight.

Exactly. It’s pretty clear who the mastermind here was and sadly, he’s coaching Nashville.

Travis Green is a complete and utter imbecile. There’s no way Fitz is going to hitch his wagon to this guy with his seat presumably (hopefully and rightfully) hot now.

Fitz built up a lot of equity with me but lost most of it this season. He is largely responsible for this clown show. If he doesn’t fix it for next year, he can hit the bricks, too.

Have never been this frustrated and maddened by a Devils team before because there’s plenty of talent here. It’s amazing what some real coaching can do for a team. The Flyers are so devoid of talent but they roll up their sleeves and grind out wins…because Tortorella won’t tolerate lack of hustle and effort. This team needs a hardass. I’d love to get Rod…he could cure their ills.

this one’s in the coaching, not the players. they handed buffalo the game on a silver platter by thinking they can sit back and play to their weakness instead of put the foot on the gas and play to their strengths

I mentioned that earlier, I said that the fact ice was titling once they killed the 5v3 and the first period ended that way. HOW (!!!!!) do you play the second and third equally bad

And I knew he would get a 4th into the empty net after that lol.

It's mind boggling how awful their passing is. Kids playing pond hockey are better.

To be fair, it was never 3 since 2024 occured. They even said it late in the 3rd.
 
I like this core a lot. They need a better bottom-6 and better defence. Luke and Nemec will only get better, Dougie is solid, Marino should get back to form. I still think Siegs can get it done, but there’s 2 spots there to upgrade.

I'm really beginning to wonder as well....

Maybe THIS is the outcome we should've been expecting from the get-go but we caught fire and Vitek played out of his mind...

We also caught the league by surprise...


Welp....at least Green will be gone. 🤞
