They didn’t have more than one day off at a time since game 7 against the rangers and it showed. I’m still pissed at the nhl schedulers for that nonsense.

Still, what a season. It’s been a long time since I felt so excited about this team. This isn’t some bs flash in the pan like the 2018 team carried by Hall. They’re going to be a problem for a while. The fact that the capitals penguins and flyers will all be easy teams to farm points against for the foreseeable future makes me very excited as well.

This definitely feels different than all those playoff exits between 2004 and 2011. Those days I was an emotional wreck after a series loss, now I'm just excited to see this team back in October for another ride.

At the end of the day, as absolutely disappointing at this series was, still a fantastic season. Wish they could have put up a better fight in this round at the very least. But hopefully the way they were ousted shows there is still lots of work to be done on the roster if they want to truly contend in the coming years.

Yes l this series was very valuable . Shows what minor changes we need to make amd what part of our game we need to improve come playoffs. Id say we did awesome for a team that just picked #2 overall last draft and is one of the youngest teams in the league, with Luke , Nemec , Holtz still to come.

Carolina isn’t going anywhere either. Carolina is gonna come right back and add Svechnikov, Pacioretty, and Teravainen plus a strong prospect pool that will only add to it. The Devils will have to find a way through this team every year with the current playoff format.

Most frustrating part is not giving schmid game 3 and 4 that was bone head. If this team played their style they would’ve won but it just looked like every team they touched the puck it was a grenade
