Eh disagree, either of those players aren’t necessarily replicating martinooks results and they are getting the tail end of burns’ career. I think they’ll be competitive but this is their season as a favorite. No way that is true. They get Svechnikov and Teravainen back next year. This will be a rivalry for a while.
Burns ain’t gonna play forever thankfullyNo way that is true. They get Svechnikov and Teravainen back next year. This will be a rivalry for a while.
Somehow I’ll guess Hischier was dealing with something. He blocks shots with full effort in regular season games. Do you honestly think he’d dog it now? He struggled but no way he’s shying away without a reason.Well he could’ve actually tried to get in front of th last shot not some weak ass stick block
Like I said I didn’t watch tonight, but I’m seeing on Twitter he fared pretty well moved with Marino and thus heavy deployment. Maybe a preview of next years pair? Also, good to see Schmid conceivably played well? 36/39 at least on paper is very good. At the moment, he is the only hope between the pipes, but boy would I love to see him tandem with a true upper echelon tender (specifically think of a guy who is currently in Nashville). But that’s another conversation as the off-season threads heat up haha.I'll say it again.
Luke Hughes is the truth.
Avocados.Burns ain’t gonna play forever thankfully
Like this is the last season Carolina can compete with us and I think they knew that.
I don't think they bring in Bruno if the plan wasn't to move him to HC. If they don't we'll 100% lose him this summer.Do we still automatically think Lindy gets bumped upstairs? I mean we have to talk about the low-key big decision that needs to be made this offseason over who's going to coach the team. I do assume they'll bring back Lindy on a short-term deal after the season they had and beating the Rangers but until they actually do it...
McAvoy and Makar both debuted in the playoffs and were putting up similar minutes after their first few games.Marino played 30 minutes, Luke was 2nd at 25
unreal in his 5th career game at 19
This is my biggest gripe as well. There was absolutely no need to go back to Vanecek for game 4. It's not like he was lights out in game 3. Everything pointed towards going with Schmid. They didn't and it backfired. I don't think people who will say the results would've been the same understand how deflating it is when you know you're goalie isn't going to make a save when you need it.Most frustrating part is not giving schmid game 3 and 4 that was bone head. If this team played their style they would’ve won but it just looked like every team they touched the puck it was a grenade
It’s overtime elimination on a pk lay out and block the shotSomehow I’ll guess Hischier was dealing with something. He blocks shots with full effort in regular season games. Do you honestly think he’d dog it now? He struggled but no way he’s shying away without a reason.
They’ll definitely be better next season at least come playoff time. By all accounts they’ll be healthy and they will def be adding up front this summer. And will also likely have someone new to tandem with Kochetkov.Carolina isn’t going anywhere either. Carolina is gonna come right back and add Svechnikov, Pacioretty, and Teravainen plus a strong prospect pool that will only add to it. The Devils will have to find a way through this team every year with the current playoff format.
I don’t see it. They do not have the young horses we do and have Anderson and raanta as goalies. They’ll be good and competitive but our trajectory is conference favorites for a bit.Maybe the rest of the Metro, but not Carolina. It's going to be the two of us for a long time
