I mean Toffoli was with Jack-Bratt a lot which was never a spot Timo should've been in to begin with. I think Timo playing hurt a lot of the year was the issue.

Taffoli wasn’t a fit, especially after Jack got injured and wasn’t Jack. He got some goals but didn’t do a lot other things. And when the injuries hit we needed the other things. There is a reason why the guy the second half of his career bouncing around from bad to bad team to be a deadline piece. Understand the trade, but it didn’t work.

He doesn't suck. He's a guy with a great shot that if you cater to him and put him with talent he'll be really good and give you a lot that other players just don't have the talent to. If you don't put him with that talent then he sucks. He's a quirky player.

so he needs talent around him otherwise he is quirky aka sucks. i get palat hasn't been tremendous but it wasn't have one or the other the devils chose to walk away from this guy just like they did with zacha. he doesn't move the needle at all great shot or not. he will have the most unamusing 20 goal season this year
