Shesterkin let up 8 goals on 16 broken plays in front of him, Valiquette said its the worst of any goalie in the league.

He has played well, but cannot make saves when it matters most.

He is doing well enough to have at least another win or two now, but he is not getting offensive support.

Kakko continues to impress but can't buy a goal.

Kreider and Zibenejad need to be benched. Send a message to the rest of the team that this effort isn't acceptable from leadership.

When you hire a coach to be a "teacher" and whose weakness was strategy that's what you get. Though we didn't get a teacher either.

The game is tied and your defense is Bittito, Smith, Hajek and Fox.

Miller is it. Trouba is out.

At forward, Chytil is out and Panarin is out.

Zibanejad might as well be out.

Your most effective forwards include a handful of AAAA players and a kid who just turned 20.

Your best center is Kevin Rooney.

Yours odd of winning the game, despite being tied, aren’t great.

Couple that with veterans who look lost and I think winning would be pretty remarkable.

But a 5-2 loss to a team that was off for 2.5 weeks is just flat out hard to spin positively in any way.

We ended up getting the kind of "character" were you nap for 59 minutes and then get in a fight.
