Lazar and Nosek on the penalty kill together. Half a Bruins PK. I like the way they tend to come out of the scrambles with the puck or at least with the play under control.

Also a good game from Toffoli in my first look at him. Liked the touch passes and vision.

Luke leading everyone in minutes played too, right? Doesn’t look like anything’s wrong with him.

Fun game. Any other team in the league, any club that doesn’t have Luke Hughes coming up, and Nemec is making the team. The kid is NHL ready at 19. Very impressed.

Kallgren also a good depth goalie. Like the rebound control and calm positional play. Will be good at Utica and looks capable of filling in here should the need arise. We are set up in goal. And if tonight’s Schmid is indicative of what we are going to see from him this year, we are more than set up.

Kallgren really showed me something tonight.

After Akira went out and Kallgren gave up that goal, I was thinking that coming out with a win tonight wasn't in the cards but he really played well the rest of the way that gave the Devils a chance.

I like to see the draw hand elbow down and more inline with the bow hand....his anchor is floating and needs to be closer to his face for any sort of consistency. His release was too fast but his follow through wasn't too bad.

It’s not a secret about Othermann and it’s not even exactly an insult because he’s going to be a pest. He’s going to be a professional asshole soon enough.

The Rangers have drafted a lot of grit and size over the last several years. If some of it makes the team it could make a lot more unpleasant to play against.

Othmann isn’t that big, it will be interesting to see how he does throwing his weight around in the pros.

Size doesn't interest me as much as being able to get under the other team's skin.

Nemec needs to work on skating, after all his quotes I was expecting a jump in that area.

Many of the forwards were irresponsible with the puck coming out of the zone.

Toffoli is our Justin Williams and will go along way to improving the PP.
