Severson was actually fine tonight and lead the team in expected goals for. Graves lead in corsi, but he def was trash. Siegs was hit or miss.

This is where the eye test and the advanced stats don't line up. They were all horrific minus Hamilton who was just mediocre. I'd go so far as to say putrid 5 of the 6. OK and Smith were nauseating.

It’s a shame because the O looked great. Devils took over in the 3rd and the Preds didn’t have an answer until the neutral zone turnover.

What game were you watching?

Preds let Devils buzz around the perimeter then countered when they gained possession.

Offense hardly "took over" the third and lost way too many 50/50 pucks.

Preds let Saros see the puck and then walled off any Devils trying to get rebounds.

Textbook team hockey.

Dallas plays way more like us, they were skating pretty even with us in the first game in NJ. But we legitimately played a really good game against them in December. We just shot ourselves in the foot tonight.
