If JT doesnt come back 100% and showcases a increased slowness it might really hurt his negotiations for anything above 4.5 mil next year.

I don’t think our prospects are valued as high as we do. Obviously Cowan has value but they are not looking to trade them. We complain that our depth doesn’t do anything so what value is that to other teams? No 1st round this year and limited picks. Are we trading nexts years 1st and 2nd?

Why worry about these things? On the other hand, he's worn down in the past few years from playing a full schedule. Maybe some time off will actually help this year!!

It really depends on what level of player you are talking about. If it's a very good player, with term, sure better prospects and picks are on the table.

Easy 4-1win?

Devils are one of the leagues better teams and certainly elite in the east.

Hate to say it Aashir but this one has every chance of getting ugly before the end of the first period.

That seems like a lot of excuses? Are the only way of making trades trading 1st round picks? He traded how many picks to add 3 players last season, 2 walked and the other has 1 goal since?

He had a full off-season where he did nothing other than sign a few players. No trades. That's 2 off-seasons in a row, for the record.

There has been several Ron Wilson like games lately where the game is turned off well before the end. But at least made it to early 3rd.

There are at least 4 prispect I vale far higher than Domi,
If I had a say Minten and Greybonkin would be skating on this team now and Mr. Domi would be selling cars.

I too appreciate honesty. Might not always like the message but always prefer it over bullshit. Plus it helps fans realize that donning a Leafs jersey is just part of the job for them.

Devils being an elite team would make it even more likely, especially in the past

We would demolish the lighting, outscore the Avs, own the jets, best the golden knights.

It was a take on the team more than the opponent, in years past this would’ve been thought to be an ugly game, but then it would turn into an easy win for us. The team knew how to toy with our expectations and keep us hooked enough to care and believe but not enough to actually win anything (division, PT, rounds, cups)

If we follow that pattern than I’ll think this is the same team, if we lose than maybe we are worse than years prior lol.

I warned about this starting a couple of years ago. Dubas, was severely limiting what the next GM could even do.

I listed all the reasons why the following GM would find it nearly impossible to do anything outside of offseason UFA's and around the deadline.

It's playing out to a tee.

I suppose Keefe is up there, but Dean Evason has his team playing tight hard hockey, they take it to the boards and just keep hammering away. That team's been through a lot and nobody had them being effective and being a tough opponent.

I'd be willing to bet (and in fact have) that the leafs will win this game, and it will be the usual combination of Matthews, Marner and Nylander that does it. That said, this is the kind of game where I would like to McMann score a couple of goals.
