as long as we make playoffs i don't mind - give me anyone honestly

I don’t like the Canes matchup. Don’t love the Caps but would prefer them and much prefer them taking each other out rather than going through both. We’re at least in the drivers seat in getting home ice vs the Canes and I think that would be huge. I have minimal faith in our ability to win in Carolina.

It’s annoying that we can’t string together more wins and get some momentum going.

I really just want to hear the phrase “9 game heater” come out of Jack’s mouth again.

Schedule was set up pretty well for that if they got through this one too

2-1-0 against the Canes with Markstrom

To be fair, one of those two wins was againstSpencer Martin, who is barely above Tokarski caliber. If Martin or Tokarski are in goal for them in the playoffs, well they're pretty f***ed lol.

Here's my opinion on Rogalski as of real time.

I'm not crediting him for Markstrom this year, nor am I condemning him for Allen.

Allen has a history of not being good in his NHL career. It happened when he was younger. Combine that with an aging goalie. And he's pretty old looking too. I was looking at his head shot next to Tokarski's early in the game. Can't believe Tokarski is a year older. He looks like he could have 5 years or more on Tokarski.
It is funny how the Devils keep turning out this type of goalie something is wrong in this organization when goalie after goalie plays this way ... 🤔

as much as they scare the bejesus out of me, playoff hockey definitely turns on a different gear - i have faith in shero reinforcing things if necessary

I think they would probably go with Kochetkov if it comes to that, but that’s not much better.

I think we are f*cked even with Tokarski in when he's playing like he's an actual NHL goaltender instead remembering he's AHL sh*t.

What I’ve talked about recently is why I don’t like the matchup playing them in Carolina. The lack of depth and their ability to blanket our stars with last change really neuters us.

Oh well, would've been nice to win both but a split is fine. The silver lining here is that, for the rest of the regular season, I no longer have to watch Brent Burns tee up one timers from the blue line the moment he gets the puck every single time without fail. Very happy about this

No way. That is a terrible play style and would neuter our offensive creativity.

They're not gunna be able to dance around teams and make fancy plays come playoffs. They need to adopt a shoot-first mentality. Get dirty goals. Not sure why you all make fun of the Canes for doing that. It's funny because that's all they can do, but it's a legit thing to do /shrug

A team of injury fakers cheered on by a bunch of know-nothings who boo third liners and referees that are tilting the game for them. I think if the Devils beat Carolina in the playoffs this year it will be close to just as sweet as the victory against the Rangers a couple of years ago. I hope Haula scores a hat trick in game four of a series sweep on their home ice in front of those loser fans.

Pretty sad that Allen gets outplayed by Tokarski and Elvis. And I'm not even gonna count Wedgewood because we were shutout.

Tokarski's team outplayed us, but the Jackets certainly did not and we scored enough in that game in the end that Allen's poor play was the difference in that one.

I'm not convinced if you play Allen in Anaheim and they start *Looks up their current guy they have up due to Gibson's usual injuries* Calle Clang instead of Dostal that Allen will outplay him.
