1. Caps still need to win one more.
2. If they meet Canes in the next round, Caps will commit enough real penalties that Canes won’t need to dive.

Devils are getting jobbed by the officials tonight.

Those two dives by the Hurricanes are just embarrassing to watch the refs calling and not penalizing the Canes for it too. Then again, the NHL officiating has been an epic joke this entire playoffs, its like the league desperately wants to see the Panthers and Caps make it deep and don’t really want the Devils to win this one at all.
