Clearly the outside chatter in the media/fanbase fried his f***ing brain to do the same shit in 2023 so who the f*** knows
I just can't believe they went into this season with the bottom 6 the same way they did. It's inexcusable that he's let it go on this long too. It's been two months of bad hockey from half our forwards. That's inexcusable.

No putting on muscle or weight probably won’t help Jack. The reality is that he’s small and fast playing in a league with guys who are big and fast…if you don’t think this is contributing to his injury rate then I don’t even know what to tell you. If you claim you don’t hold your breath every time you see him get hit hard or take a spill, then you’re just f***ing lying to yourself.
Considering how rarely he actually gets hit, no.

Jack is incredibly talented but it’s starting to look like he’s too small and fragile to ever be in the same class as other superstars in this league. Bratt is an outstanding play driver and play maker, but he’s not a true goal scorer. Timo is basically a highly skilled grinder who averages 60 points when he’s not on the PP regular. Our best offensive players are still a tier below the true superstars in this league like Mackinnon, McDavid, Drai, Kucherov, Eichel, Matthews. And now we also have little to no quality depth. Nico is our best and most complete forward.

This is a flawed core and poorly constructed roster playing for an organization whose leadership has been questionable for a dozen years now.

How did Patrick Kane manage to avoid major injuries until about 3 seasons ago? Same basic physical stature. Maybe he played a smarter game and knew when to slow it down. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Jack is not a smart player. Talented, sure. But not the brightest bulb on the ice.

They got enamored in trying to build the next Florida Panthers but instead build the next version of the Lou/Trotz Islanders

Fitz might be more aggressive in order to save the season if Jack is hurt . It will be tight timewise to know if they need to LTIR Jack and have cap room to add anyone worthwhile or what to do . Do they just punt on the season if Jack is hurt and not add anyone ? Or do they utilize LTIR and get a bigger piece and hope that Jack is back in time for playoffs ( if we make it ) .

They need to figure out what is wrong with Jack first. Something no one on here seems inclined to wait and see.

I didn’t feel as doomy last year.

I know the team just needs to revamp the bottom 6 and get some of our identity back. But it feels bleak right now.
Look at Daws as a great comparison. Was left out to dry constantly last season and now looks great. Thats a testament to Keefes system and the structured and responsible game they play. Sucks that they don’t have enough horses on offense

No putting on muscle or weight probably won’t help Jack. The reality is that he’s small and fast playing in a league with guys who are big and fast…and for all his skills he’s not particularly good at protecting himself…if you don’t think this is contributing to his injury rate then I don’t even know what to tell you. If you claim you don’t hold your breath every time you see him get hit hard or take a spill, then you’re just f***ing lying to yourself.

I don’t know what he has to do this summer but something has to be tried because it clearly isn’t working whatever he is doing. Your right about protecting himself I mean there are players similar size in this game and they are on their feet more then he is aren’t hurt as much as he is and play similar styles.

I didnt see what happened to Jack I shut it off soon as it was 2-0...is there a clip anywhere?

All of Jack's injuries seem to have been from him flying into the boards
