what happened in the last 2 games has no bearing on this game

the goalie and D played good enough to win. They had chances to score, and didnt bury them. It happens. There is no need for anyone to go on any sort of rant about this game one way or the other.
Of course but you went and put it out there that none of us watch the rest of the league.

And as @MadDevil pointed out :

they (The Flames) have lost 4 in a row and have given up 19 goals (unless there's an EN in there somewhere) over that span..

That is not a good team the Devils lost to tonight.

That is not the Leafs.

It's the end of the world after every single f***ing loss. It's so tiring.

I lost my shit after the TB game cause that was a horrible loss during a stretch of shitty hockey. This is their first meh loss after a stretch of a week and a half of very solid hockey. They'll lose games, even bad ones. It happens, even to the best teams in the league, even against lesser teams.

It doesn't need to be this dramatic after every single loss.

Whenever I feel like I'm a miserable f*** about this team this place makes me feel like I shit rainbows of positivity.

I’m grateful we don’t play until Monday. I need more than a night off after that pathetic performance.

I still think this was the second worst game we’ve played this year. Only the Tampa one was definitely worse.

We’ve had some brutal periods, especially in the 1st. But that was a complete and utter stinker.

Jack still doesn’t look dynamic and hasn’t gone off yet (Nico does and has), the forward depth is still a huge question mark. And Palat can f*** right off. Even if he’s not cooked, suppose he isn’t. You think we’re getting 40 points out of him next year if he doesn’t do it this year? Having to watch Jack play with him is a joke.

yea this wasn't a bad game at all. I just wish they'd stop completely falling apart after things don't go their way (like giving up a goal after playing so well)

Always easy to blame, Jack, Nico ,Bratt ,Luke, etc....when in doubt...it's gotta be one of them...

I mean you get 0 goals and it's all of those guys fault (obviously minus Markstrom). Less so Luke because he's a D that looked good defensively but no one on the team was able to do much of anything with the puck. 2 of the only chances they got all night were Jack's breakaways and he flubbed both. Outside of Nico it's been the depth guys punching above their weight class a lot of the year. You need your stars to pull through and get you at least one tonight.

Again, that's a very bad loss but I don't expect Jack to miss 2 breakaways nightly and them to look that bad offensively. They didn't deserve anything from that game anyway, if they lucked a point out tonight maybe we would've gotten a more calm approach going into Edmonton. Getting shutout and playing like ass should be a wake up call. Shit happens, now go fix it. Glad to see Markstrom looks like the goaltender we traded for.

You don't end up with 50+ wins when you lose games to Calgary.

The Devils are not among the best of teams in the league. I think many of are us just upset at how long this whole rebuild has taken and led to... this (so far).
Panthers lost 3-1 to the Flames in December last year, ended the season with 52 wins, and won the Stanley Cup.

I get what you're saying, but everyone can truly beat everyone in this league. It happens.

There's been a lot of wake up calls for only 14 games.

This team f***ing sucks too much compared to the talent on it.

They’re 7-5-2, 4-4-2 in their last 10 and have 2-5 games on hand in teams behind them in the standings that have better points percentages.

My problem with this team is too often they have the arrogance that they are.

Yeah I mean, looking at the division, this team will be around 3 + bubble. Carolina looks awesome, Washington looks awesome, Rags still are dogshit 5v5 and getting away with it because of Shesty/special teams. They're gonna be in a dogfight to years end due to their inability to show up consistently.

Ya I mean, it's starting to look like a core issue and not a coach issue like we thought with Lindy. They just don't get up for certain games, it's so f***ing annoying lol

But Washington lost to NJ, who isn’t good enough, so Washington can’t be good since they lost to a “worse” team.

I think the original point that trying to good teams don’t lose to bad teams is silly and isn’t true. Good teams win more often but bad teams do beat good teams at times.
