Sabres fans should have thrown things on the ice. 2 goals “blown dead” while the puck was loose in the crease.

Guess the league wanted to make it up to the Devils?
Yeah - that was garbage. Sabres had 2 goals waved off because the ref wasn't in position to see the puck was still loose. And, of course, they lost by 2 goals.

That would entirely negate the essence of what makes hockey, well, hockey. The sport would not be the same, and I believe the product would be inferior. It would be strange and inept to see players intentionally begin kicking pucks into the net to score. Feels cheap even thinking about it.

Also, didn't you see what happened to Evander Kane recently? An incident like that needs to be prevented as much as possible especially since there has been much worse cases.

Look at the Stars game tying goal against the Jets. 10x worse than any of the goalie interference goals that Murray went through

I don't disagree. I do feel in my biased opinion that the Devils were overall the better team, but the refs screwed Buffalo a chance to at least get it to OT.

The refs play way too big of a part in this sport. Missed calls, wrong calls, hasty calls, judgment calls..

Tage Thompson literally just shoved Schmid into the net. You really want to see that type of play allowed?

It never got that far since play was blown dead, there was no review, challenge or debate to be had about the actual play. If the goalie has the puck, pushing him into the net is obviously not a goal, but if the puck is free then you have to review the play if there was goalie interference or not. It never got that far since the ref lost sight of the puck and blew the whistle. It's just another example of human error and judgment calls affecting the game.

Nah, it would be fine. I'd also allow batted pucks, kneed pucks, headed pucks, whatever. As long as the player didn't close their hand on it, point that arm at the goal, ref.

Also get rid of the blue lines. Don't know why people hate scoring so much and love whistles and stoppages.

Kane was injured by a skate out by the blue line and it wasn't from a player trying to kick the puck. If you're trying to prevent that as much as possible I guess you need to get rid of the skates altogether. Injuries are a risk, there's no guarantee that a player would never get injured by a player trying to kick a puck into the net, but there's no reason to believe it would be an especially dangerous play.

It was Okposo on the first one. And the puck was already in before Schmid got pushed. And it was in before the whistle blew. They showed a conclusive replay on the Sabres broadcast.

On the second one Marino punched the loose and uncovered puck into his own the net. Pushing Schmid in was irrelevant to the play. As he didn't have the puck covered and had no idea where it was. Didn't get a good replay of when the whistle blew.

Devils deserved the win, as they doubled the Sabres up on chances, but the Sabres at least deserved a loser point from these 2 goals that were stolen.

You're more upset at the fact that I said the devils got outplayed, opposed to devils fans throwing full beer cans and other garbage at the Leafs players, at their bench both during and after the game. This tells me all I need to know about your opinion
Oh stop with the hyperbolic BS no one was throwing full anything all the cans are opened by staff and there no beer sold after the 2nd period.

Theyve gone to selling almost exclusively these massive 24 or 36 Oz cans of beer at Prudential Center. So the drunkenness level at this one was through the roof. Fun game to be at to be honest.
I’ve been saying… and this doesn’t excuse throwing things on the ice…. But the night before thanksgiving in NJ… fans are wasted since like 3pm… the win streak… it was a perfect storm. Devils fans are insane and people seem to forget about that since the Devils have been trash for about ten years.

I tweeted during the Arizona game a few weeks ago “I think Devils fans have a drinking problem” because every single person around me in section 13 was hammered haha.

Hockey games are typically an excuse to get hammered. This isn’t unique to Devils games.

Good for them. Years of being trash and now they threw it out on the ice. For such a small fanbase they seemed pretty committed to their team. Imagine if this happened to the rags? They would be throwin 2000k blazers on the ice and gold necklaces.

Just imagine Austin Matthews going up in the stands, pointing at a 7 years old his teammates have to beat up for him.

What a man, what a leader.
Making up dumb stories sure is fun.

Do you wake up every morning and think about the Leafs? It's like you wake up and check HF to find which Leafs threads you can post in every single day.

The answer to that question is obvious.

If it wasn't for the Leafs, Jimmy Road Apples would have no life. His team is bottom of the barrel, and at times unwatchable. He's gotta pass the time somehow.

the virtue signaling for throwing beer on the ice is such a joke. The devils owners are trying to make every play into a gambling opportunity which I’m sure has a greater risk to destroying lives than some upset drunken fans.

Guess Devils fans can't finish their beers either then, video footage of beers being thrown at the players after the game was over
