There’s other fan bases who will still months later complain about lesser/more typical ref issues they perceive as tragic


A team getting tons of hype gunning closer and closer to the all time win streak, having it end on three disallowed goals regardless of further context, fans across the league would quite possibly do the same


When you’re actually at the game, you’re in a different element.

Add to that, the league is based in the same city that the opposing team is from. And then there's also the dubious nature of having the war room in that same city. And this is in New Jersey. If any one is going to pounce on something seemingly being rigged, it's Jersey.

But honestly, baseball has the same problem with replay being in NYC.

Watching Murray rip out his net with his hand in a clear blatant delay of game penalty (that didn't get called by the refs) was the cherry on top for all the disallowed goals. Murray wasn't even smooth with it, he straight up used his hand and pushed it off on purpose because the leafs were hemmed in the zone. Between that and the weak calls this game was straight up BS. Refs literally decided the outcome of this game on a historic winning streak.

First two were utter garbage and could only happen with the Leafs or Crosby on the other end. Having three goals called back, two errantly, in a 2-1 final might bring some ire from the fans.

Murray embellished an interference in last week's game as well. He's almost a soccer player at this point.

The second goal, the only question was if tatar deserved a 2 min penalty for goalie interference or not...

The 1st ine, you can arge but

1- he was on goalie circle
2- nobody push him
3- he created contact with murray skate
4- that affected Murray ability to make the stop
5- Murray was in good position to make the save without contact

Hit every case of goalie interference... yes 3 goal dissallowed is pretty impresive but every call was the right call.

Its not a special offer, score 2 illegal goal and the 3rd will count

I've seen some horrible calls in every sport while attending, I still never threw shit onto the field of play despite having several alcoholic beverages. At some point you've got to make a decision whether you're trash that throws trash and condones this behavior, or that you're civilized and it's just a f***ing sport and the sun will still rise regardless of what the officials decided. Maybe that's just me though.

Im not a fan of either team, but none of those goals were as black and white as you're making it seem. Pretty reasonable to be upset as a fan, not sure I've ever seen 3 goals disallowed in a single game, let alone all on one team

Murray had a great game on top of the 3 goals that were called back. I’m ok with the 3 being called back and losing this game.

Sucks that a potential record breaking game for the franchise had to go down like this but it is what it is.

The Bruins also lost and we’re still comfortably on top of the Metro.
