To avoid the contract discussion, I met Dougie and Dawson at Sports Minded Unlimited yesterday with my oldest who is 3. When I've asked him before, he has told me his favorite Devil is Dougie. I imagine because it's a fun name.

Dawson was as you'd expect, a human golden retriever. Cool kid, told my son he liked his shoes. Then we go to Dougie, and my shy son tells him his name when Dougie asks him. I ask him who he tells me is his favorite Devil, he says Dougie which got a smile out of him. He then proceeds to personalize my son's first ever signed puck completed with a smiley face under the signature. He then gave my son's hair a tussle as he walked away.

All this to simply say that while I understand the finances and roster management behind it all, Dougie is a gem of a dude and I'll be sad when we do move on. It's really a shame we lost so much of last year and even his first year to injuries.

I just noticed that too. I changed to night mode because everyone laughed at light mode. Now that I have light mode back I'm never going back to night.

It's getting there, looks better but not digging the small avatars. You can get rid of the sidebar at least but doesn't stick.

I've gone to preferences a couple times daily, clicked on Dark, clicked on save, and I'm still going blind with this white s**t!

I also liked my hockey puck avatar assigned to me by HF, but this question mark is ridiculous.

Did you go see the Lighthouse with @NjDevsRR? I had the same reaction when I watched it. He's lucky he redeemed himself with Nosferatu.

He's an awesome dude. I hope he sticks around, don't care if he's overpaid.

Not a bad idea. He has one year after, at $5mm, which is a bit high. But you figure he replaces Lazar and becomes your 3/4th Center

If Goncalves can play center, he may be an interesting claim target from TB.

23 years old and is a great AHL point producer. Dowling is a reliable extra forward that doesn’t hurt you but his production offensively has been virtually non existent.

Is he saying the only thing that mattered is Mark? If that's the case and he's annoyed by the praise all the other moves have gotten, that's an insanely strange thing to be annoyed about. The team is better, only thing worse than trying to pin down the single reason we suck is trying to pin down and argue over the single thing that made us good.

Unless there is sarcasm in there built upon some other arguing I missed.
