I am very in favor of signing William Carrier. Though I do fear he will be overpaid because ... Stanley Cup.

Any player with a Stanley Cup to their name, especially a recent Stanley Cup, tends to get inflated contract offers in UFA.

That's why I might prefer to target players like Max Domi, Adam Henrique, Jake DeBrusk, Tyler Bertuzzi, Jordan Martinook.
