I think it happens before tomorrow's draft or a trade for him would not include any picks from this year. Unless Dallas Is not concerned with that.

Am I correct that an offer sheet cannot be until July 1 after the draft if a trade cannot be completed?

I'm wondering if Robertson is just trying to squeeze a little more out of Dallas. Like, "hey, clearly my market value is here ...I don't need all of it, but let's do 13.125 and call it a day" type think

Ya I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason Dallas is rushing this now. To avoid being at risk of an offer sheet. Seems unlikely it will get to July 1.

Good point hadn't considered that. It could effect the return as well. Would we give 4 1sts for him? Doesn't seem like a Sunny move but i think he might be worthy of it

Yeah - I think the risk for Dallas is that they would rather dictate the move than be forced into paying something stupid or get what would amount to 4, late 1sts

so sunny goes out and gets an amedeus and a declan. well then, he might be interested in a mustapha.....the guy did have a tough season with injury and only played 10 games but when he's on he puts up points and always, without fail gets into two fights a game, he takes no prisoners....but he's smart as well to keep it to only two because three gets you tossed. he's worth a shot i'd say

I'm confused about the whole Robertson situation. The stars are reportedly offering him 8x$14, which is near the top of what he'd get elsewhere. And the stars are one of those "no state income tax" teams that make the top of every FA/trade list every offseason.

Why doesn't he want to stay?

It feels like he has some sort of specific team or fit if the 8x14 from Dallas is to be believed

I don't see why an offer sheet would be an issue. I think it's very unlikely anyone submits one at the 4 1sts level. Dallas can match anything below that. I guess the fear is that they then offer sheet Bourque.

They haven’t offered him that. The one report that makes it sound like that is just weird wording.
