Exactly. Wing+faceoff guy for jack that steps in to be competent 2C in case of injury

robertson is an RFA

I am the least grammar/literate caring person you could meet. But appreciate the use of "an" in front of R instead of a. Not enough people do it and it always feels like a speed bump when reading.

Gotta do that deal but I’d try damn hard not to include Grits. The thought of Grits being a long term secondary scorer for us behind Robertson and Jack is such a sexy thought. Feels like we’d finally score to our ability consistently and then some

I’d much rather include Mercer than Grits. I want Robertson bad.

I think you need to send way more in terms of NHL ready to DAL to make it worth it

That’s nowhere near “fair” in any sense of the word to Dallas

I didn’t realize just how good Arvidsson has been throughout his career. He will likely be cost prohibitive as a UFA coming off the season he just had. Feels older to me but he’s only 33. Unless Mercer is dealt, we do have a whole slew of RWs though…plus, I’d like to see Meier properly deployed as a RW. Can Viktor play LW?

I would have really liked a Marchment add, but "robust market" probably turns me off to that.

I'm guessing he gets something like 5 years for 6M AAV

His only issue is he's never been able to stay healthy.

His time in Edmonton was a very weird outlier for his career.

If we want to we HAVE to sign and trade and offer him before other teams are allowed too

I think hes perfect for the Top 6 but worry about Term with him

I think this offseason is gonna be a lot about addition by subtraction. Sunny is probably looking to move players who don’t fit either on the ice or in the locker room.

It’s def gonna take a big offseason dedicated to fixing our Contract situation. I forget who said it here, but i am pretty much down to trade anyone on this team, maybe except Jack. We truly haven’t done shit as a team in well over a decade.

I know we all want big names like Quinn or Robertson or Larkin but i really don’t think we are in a place asset wise to get any of them (yet, this nemo trade helps that)

I am willing to be patient with sunny but if we can get assets for Nemo, trade Markstrom for a bag of pucks without paying a lot, and clear some dead weight i think we’ll be in a great spot for this year and for next offseason.

Also one element i haven’t seen discussed here is Seamus Casey / Anton Silayev must be absolutely thrilled right now.

Both those guys have a very clear shot of making this team with part of the logjam cleared up.
